Asked at checkout about a product found in the clearance section. The person working there kept arguing that it wasn’t in that section, came back and said it was in that section but wasn’t on sale. She kept arguing with me even after I said many times I don’t want the product. This is not great customer service and I won’t be returning.

Store signs say they close at 11. Came at 10:30 and the doors were locked but people were still inside shopping. Should really change the sign if the store hours have changed

Called in to check on the availability of a product 10:20 am 2/19/25. The phone was picked up and hung up on the first time. I called back, a woman answered (lots of noise in the background), I asked if the product was on the shelf and told her where it was (it is right by the customer service area) and she hung up on me. I called a third time and after 8 minutes a gentleman picked up the phone and answered my questions.

This is my first time went to Safeway store from Connecticut Ave NW. I use go to Safeway store at Georgia Ave NW. So at Connecticut Ave NW is okay and small not enough room. They need to set shelves on time. People are nice. Thanks.

I visited this store on a number of occasions, but tonight was definitely a 5-star experience. The cashier took the time to make sure I knew how to use the Safeway app to get the best deals on the items I had already chosen. I just downloaded the app yesterday, so I really appreciated the help.

Cramped store but they make the best of space. Not a gourmet store but has a lot of the wonderful basics we all need.

If you are member , than prices are quite affordable for quality goods offered. Abundance of quality goods! Pharmacy hours differs from store open times( see photo)

Safeway is great and all but they don't always have the selection of snacks and drinks 😔 oh and forgot to mention the over freezer burned ben & jerrys ice cream 😭. Next atmosphere is crampt and overcrowded. Service is friendly just use the check out they will treat you better. Pros: good breads, cereal, and granola plus discounts! Cons: boxes everywhere even in the aisles. So read before you go to Safeway! Hope this helps and have a safe day!

I don’t know how this 1970’s throwback stays in business in this area. Puddles of water from leaker freezers on the floor. No soups or market items. It’s insane.

I’m happy with the store. It is a smaller Safeway than others so don’t treat this place where you fill a cart for your weekly trip. If that’s what you want, just go to a bigger Safeway. But for running in and out for dinner and lunch groceries for the next day or two, it’s great. I use the Safeway app to take advantage of sales and coupons. I like self checkout—they have six stations now. Overall I’m happy with this small store because I have so many choices alongside the deals I get via the app. Thumbs up for me.

I was there once, visiting my sister who lives nearby. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. There is a reason Safeway has lost most of its market share over 30+ years. The previous CEO was first obsessed with employee wellness programs that didn't work and then obsessed with Theranos (which was worse than not working) and let the actual stores grow cobwebs...and they still haven't recovered.

Amazing customer service!!! Octavia Gaines went above and beyond to assist me in finding an item. Robert Jordan and earl harper were very helpful in the meat isle. Saka Reynolds the manager was very friendly and helpful and he just walked in to work. Keep up the great work!! The store does seem a little old , the isles are very small. Hopefully this team will get this store into shape!!

Lowering my review to one star. This Safeway DESPERATELY NEEDS an overhaul. I purchased sour cream today and it’s the consistency of water. I’m consistently amazed by how lousy this location is. The doors on their refrigerated areas DON’T STAY CLOSED, so half the time their dairy items are practically room temp. They struggle to keep popular items adequately stocked. I can no longer support this location. Sorry.
