Been using Sargent Cleaners services several times for cleaning and repairs. Price is very reasonable, they deliver on time and results are always satisfactory. Friendly staff.

Review for seamstress: I came to them with a unique, challenging request to combine two football jerseys into one for a costume. They took on the challenge with excitement and executed quickly. Within ten days I had the final product back. We were able to communicate via text throughout the process; they kept me updated on progress and with any questions. Highly recommend!

The friendly dry cleaner on Wisconsin Avenue (as distinct from the other dry cleaner up the block).

Called to get a quote on dry cleaning and I asked two questions, to which the second question was replied with an exasperated OMG. I was then told I don’t listen even though I couldn’t understand what the lady had said in the first place which was the reason for a second question. Suffice it to say I will not be going here for my dry cleaning needs which is disappointing because it is in such close proximity to my apartment. I do not recommend this place. If you want to go here be aware that you will be berated.

Really, really expensive and they often don't get orders done when they say they will. Go to Georgetown Cleaners on Wisconsin for better prices and service.Changed review from 2 to 1 star because after not getting the order done when they said they would, they didn't finish the mending job.

Crazy expensive. Dropped off a work dress with spots - was charged $20. Dropped off a tank top with spots, $12. Was told "extra spot charge". $35 with tax total for a simple sheath work dress and white tank top. Have taken things here before and it took two times to clean to get rid of spots, so hopefully my $35 is worth it.

First they completely ruined a suit of mine after charging me $25 to put a simple lapel button-hole on the jacket (a job they completely butchered), and then they removed my original review. I actually recommended them in certain cases in my last review but this is just ridiculous.

Sargent is by far the best dry cleaner in DC! I live in Bethesda and come into DC just to go to them-I have been going to them for over 8 years! I get all of my pieces tailored here for they listen to exactly what I want and I end up with the best results (trust me I am extremely picky with alterations). I have also never had an issue with any clothes I get cleaned for they go over any spots and make sure I am happy with everything when I pick up. I have tried other places for convenience and always end up back at Sargent Cleaners!

I had this place do plenty of alterations for me previously (hemming trousers, taking in the waist, etc.) so I felt comfortable asking if they could add a simple button-hole to the lapel of my suit, so I could wear it with a flower. They gladly said yes to the job. What I got was the most butchered alteration job I've ever seen in my life. The button hole I got... 1) was HALF the size as the rest of the suit button-holes (even through I specifically asked for the new hole to match the rest) 2) was not even aligned with the rest of the button-holes 3) was not even close to the same color (they used a grey thread when the suit and other button-holes were all navy) 4) looked half completed, with lose threads everywhere. And for a button-hole that looked like a just drew a knife into my suit, they charged me $25. I'm sure that they dry clean fine, but if you need an alteration on a garment that is any more difficult than hemming a pair of trousers, please look elsewhere.

I went in to get two of my denims mended as they were frayed... I felt I was overcharged for the work that was done... If I didn't like the pants as much as I do, I would have been better off buying new pants instead
