Vonetta is the absolute best! Every time she cuts my bob I get so many compliments. I even had a group of college students give me an “award” for best bob! Vonetta always listens to exactly what I want and I leave the salon happy! (And, she has the best dog ever.) 10/10 every time

I’ve seen Vonetta twice for haircuts and will definitely go back. I love the salon’s ambiance—it’s intimate and charming, with colorful portraits of inspiring women. For my haircut, I showed Vonetta a picture of what I wanted, and she not only replicated it but made it even better. Beyond being an expert in her technique, she’s also incredibly cool and makes the experience fun. She plays great music, and I enjoy our conversations! I think the price was worth it, I’ve paid more for a less satisfying haircuts. 13/10 :)

Vonetta is a true gem! She is truly well rounded and is skilled at so many techniques. I would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in keeping their hair healthy and flawlessly finished.

I recently tried Signature Image Salon and was highly pleased with the care and styling of my natural hair. I enjoyed the moisturizing steam treatment, trim and styling, all reasonably priced for the DMV. Signature Image Salon is an Aveda inspired salon and has every product you would need to maintain your style between visits. Salon Owner, Vonetta is friendly and professional, she took the time to discuss my hair care routine and needs to keep my hair care on track. I highly recommend Signature Image Salon if you want to maintain healthy hair. The shop itself is a hidden gem on the second floor of bldg 1517. I love the beautiful artwork throughout the shop, making my visit to the salon personable,relaxing and welcoming. Thank you, Vonetta.

Tasheeba did an amazing job with washing, blow drying, and the scalp treatment, left there feeling amazing and hair feeling more healthy than ever. The environment is phenomenal, chairs wasn’t uncomfortable, & loved how the inside look, even the dog (I think the owner’s dog) was such a sweetie !!

I’m so grateful to have found Vonetta and Signature Image Salon! I plan to be a client for years to come. This is officially my home salon! The atmosphere is welcoming, and Vonetta does a fantastic job understanding exactly what I want since I have a particular cut. She is a master at cutting hair! I always get compliments on my short cut because of her skills. I leave feeling refreshed and confident every time.

I came across this salon on google. I must say I’m excited, that I finally found a salon I can trust with my hair ! I was serviced for a moisture treatment and haircut. She was able to give me my desired cut, and I left feeling more confident in my hair ! I would recommend this salon to anyone !

As a Black woman in DC, getting your natural hair done by a reputable stylist who uses top of the line products (Aveda!) can be a challenge. At Signature Image Salon—it’s the name of the game. I’ve been a long time customer (been going since I was a student ant Howard University) and I do not trust my hair with anyone else. Vonetta is a consummate professional who always leaves me feeling confident, beautiful, and like my hair was well taken care of. She takes pride in her work and, as a customer, you can feel it. Cuts, sew-ins, roller sets, wash and go-you name it, Vonetta can do it. And, most importantly, she’ll do it better than the rest.Run, don’t walk!!

I never intended on getting my hair done while on holiday but a hair mishap meant I had to search for a good salon while in Washington D.C. I’m so glad we did because EVERYTHING about the experience was amazing!! I opted for a silk press with a trim and my hair has never been so straight, nourished and had such body before. I dragged my mum along with me and she saw how good my hair looked and so opted for the same and we left the salon feeling amazing! We had such a great time and learnt so much about Washington DC as well as our hair - I now have a hair dresser in DC and highly recommend you book an appointment if you want to look and feel amazing!Services: Shampoo & conditioning
