One of the worst bar experiences I’ve ever had.
The staff were extremely rude from the moment we walked in, especially Ally, who made us feel completely unwelcome and acted like serving us was beneath her. The place itself is mediocre at best: bland drinks, forgettable atmosphere, and nothing to justify the attitude. Definitely not coming back on my next trip, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The venue was ok but the bartenders all have a serious attitude problem. If you hate your job that much maybe you should find a new one

I love Soundcheck! It’s definitely a more intimate venue vs. Echostage. I like that there’s different areas to hang. You could be at the dj booth, you can be off to the sides with or in the back with people dancing and shuffling. It’s also quick service and the girls are always nice! And they are ready to give away free water which is necessary when raving. I highly recommend for going our dancing!

The security is so on point ans know whats up so be nice to them 🙏 excellent sound and underground atmosphere. Oh and the bar staff is phenomenal

The security guy sucked. He had an abhorrent attitude that makes me wish to never purchase a ticket for any event occurring here EVER again. I implore you to do the same. Other than that, the event I was supposed to be there for allegedly was slated to begin at 9pm, but they didn’t start allowing people into the venue until 10pm. I witnessed the utmost unprofessionalism, lost money, and the only consolation were the cool people I met while waiting in a line THAT SHOULDN’T HAVE EXISTED. It was hot and mosquitos were out, luckily I had a fan.
Bottomline: If you value your time, sanity, and happiness, don’t ever come here, simply find a similar event elsewhere?

Advertised event open time before the venue even opens, can't get a refund because they only sell through the good old Ticketmaster monopoly.

Venue sold tickets for an event that their site and all tickets sold said started at 9 pm (on a Thursday night). Upon arrival venue staff were entirely unprepared, and said that the doors would not open until 10 pm, and that event would start even later than that.

if you are under 21 or over 21 and drinking, make sure you know they will not let you into this vicinity. half of the workers are cool, the one with the afro outside is not. they have rules that are not explained on ticketmaster at all and they will deny you entry. they will also not give you a refund...

Been clubbing in DC for 20+ years but this is the first time I felt inclined to write something. Been to soundcheck a handful of times over the years. Went to see Skream last night and had a security guard CONSTANTLY hovering around me the entire night. I paid to see an artist, I didn't pay to see you every other time I looked up. Had two security guards walk by to flashlight check the ground near my feet. Security all up on the dancefloor. I definitely think it was because it was either my race, my build, or a combination of the two. Spent $30+ on 2 tiny drinks, the bartender did well and was friendly, shoutouts to her. Won't be back. Hopefully Flash books Skream again instead of this place.

Soundcheck is one of the great EDM venues in DC area. They bring great DJs and provide a safe space for the community to dance and enjoy the vibes. My complaint? Constantly open women's restroom door where everyone walking by can see inside. Give ladies some privacy and close the door! If this is for our safety, you already have an attendant inside. Close the door please. Thank you

The jerk bartender at the far end of the bar literally snatched my empty water bottle from me ($6+), threw it away, gave me an attitude for asking for water, and forced me to purchase another. I literally did nothing but ask for a refill of water, i dont know what the jerk’s problem was. Forced me to purchase another and gave me an attitude for no reason
