Trash store. Full of rude employees with no desire of helping customers. They don’t even know the rules of the company they work for smh.

I like this one. It's the closest Target to the Downtown, just in from of Columbia Heights metro station. 2 floors, self cashiers, restroom.

I like businesses that are available on metro. This store is on the green line. There is a decent amount of house hold items, cleaning & laundry supplies. The merchandise has changed from the "old Targets." Not as many clothing choices. I was surprised they didn't stock shopping carts on roll groceries home. They only had a laundry hamper on wheels.

Decent but not my favorite Target, but it's the only one in the area. There are limited sections (baby, toys) but overall has a good selection for a quick stop. It's not the cleanest Target and it's not as well laid out as other Targets - maybe because it's in a city? Cons: - They do shut down the self-checkout lines towards the end of the night to deter theft, which is understandable but sometimes frustrating. - Their grocery section usually is out of stock of common items and especially after a sale. Try to come in the morning if you're coming for specific items on sale. - Employees haven't been as helpful (or approachable) but on my last visit the cashier was amazingly efficient and nice! It's a Target and I'll be back.

There's an employee by the name Toian that was located on the top floor of target. I came in for pillows and towels however I wasn't aware of the target app is the only way I could obtain the 20% off discount at checkout. All I said was excuse me could you show me what items are selected for the sale. Toian stated about having the app on my which I didn't have. When I say this young man walked me through the entire process of setting this app onto my phone with the most patient I had to leave a review. Toian is the type of person that needs to be recognized for his efforts in great customer service.

Would give Zero stars if I could. Visiting DC and called 10 times to try to reach a human before I spend $20 on an Uber to get there and they don't have what I need. Never got an answer, after several minutes of ringing the phone just disconnects. Very poor customer service. Will shop elsewhere.

Hit or miss if they have what I’m looking for but it is easily accessible by metro so avoiding taking a car is it’s main selling point for me. The area isn’t the best and the store has lacking security but overall just get in and get out. If you can avoid it then go to another location.

I went to Target last night at 9pm and only 3 of the 12 self checkout stations were functioning and the line at the self checkout was about 20 people deep. Target could use help from Amazon and Whole Food's self checkout process.Apart from the self checkout line, there were only three cashiers working and each line was 10 people deep. The management and organiation of this Target needs help.

This is the most unorganized, run down Target in the US. Nothing is stocked correctly. They are always out of items and cannot stock the right items. All the medicine is locked up. Had trouble getting a gift card and no one could help me. The self checkout froze and the Target team members did not know what to do. Worthless help. Everything at the Columbia Heights Target is 15% higher than other Targets in the area. How dare you prey on people that live here. We make less and have to spend more. I only go here when I absolutely need something, otherwise stay away from the worst Target in the US.

Oftentimes, the people make the experience. That was the case in my first trip to this Target location. In reading other reviewers' displeasure with empty shelves, I can say I did notice that too, but they had all of the necessities that we needed. We had also placed an online order for several items, and the order was complete, ready, and organized. When I needed assistance while shopping, the gentlemen working in the beer section ably answered my questions. And Felicia at customer service? She was amazing. Her welcoming charm and effective service really made our stop a great one.

Good morning I’m writing this review on behalf of Johnathan (maybe misspelling) in the electronic department! On 2 separate incidents I needed help that may have been above his job description and he had no hesitation to help me out! He recommended both inexpensive and expensive items. I’ve witnessed him also have excellent customer service to every guest that walked up the the counter when I was there. He helped everyone with ease and grace and also quickly but not rushed.

I recommend ordering online and having it delivered. I like Target but I predict the Columbia Heights store will close down. A majority of merchandise is now locked up due to high theft. No one helps when you use the call device to unlock laundry detergent. Also, they have often out of stock for even the most basic staple items like Windex. It's a shame.

I had a terrible time. I wanted to buy laundry detergent but it was locked. I kept using the button to request assistance but no one came. Then I called the store. The phone rang and rang but no one picked up. I went to find an associate and told her about the problem. She was very rude and told me to call corporate, but when I asked for the number she refused to give it to me. When I asked for her name she said it was Sheila. But as I walked away I heard her tell another customer that she lied. I tried asking other people what her name was but everyone said they didn’t know.

If I could give 0 I would… the product in the baby section is so unorganized to the point I picked up a box of pull ups that were scattered everywhere; I went to the register and the manager who is skinny, tall, with twist or old braids, and brown skin not sure of her name told me that even though the section looks a mess and she agreed it was all in the wrong section! She still did not take or reduce the price. This is exactly why I chose to shop further out of Dc because managers/ people do not understand customer satisfaction and that it is not our fault that the workers misplace items.
