There are way to many targets in DC. But I guess its convenient to have one a few blocks away. I miss the Best Buy though.

Customer service is THE WORST. I work in a senior living community, and a senior left a package and their personal information in the store. NOBODY could or would assist us with how to go about trying to find where to locate the left items. This store is THE WORST.

On Thursday I came to this Target location for an order pickup. While I was inside I decided to pick up a few items. My son left some toiletries he needed, including tissues and lotion, nearby and went to the bathroom. I decided to use self checkout before my son came out, since he was using his own money. After I paid for my items, I looked back to see my son being bullied by some other boys for his purchases. Before I could even step in, an employee, who I later learned was named Emilio, put a stop to the bullying. He accosted the boys, spoke on the importance of self care, and told them to leave. I thanked him, not just verbally, and told management about his stellar care for their customers. (Emilio is pictured below telling the boys that bullied my son to leave)

This is the worst Target in the DMV!!! Nothing is ever stocked. Staff will *not* give customers the right of way. It’s absolutely disorganized and chaotic. I actually just put in a delivery order and staff member Vera Mabuza was extremely unprofessional with me and tried to deliver me an order that wasn’t even mine. PLEASE SHOP ELSEWHERE.

Directly outside the store before entering you have to bypass numerous panhandlers asking for change. Which is ridiculous since they're coughing and spiting on the ground right outside the door. Also when you get inside the first set of doors before the second set. There's another panhandler asking for cash to which I replied " I don't carry cash" he went on to say he has a credit card reader to which I almost died laughing since I figured the panhandlers have upgraded their operations. ,ROFL......Upon entering the store. You're NOT greeted. Unlike other locations where Target has AP's which is an acronym for "Asset Protection" personnel at the door. Here they have a podium **SEE PICS** which is not a very good first impression for a family store since it's almost the first thing you see after entering. They had the AC on so ventilation was good. After getting a shopping cart. The wheels locked up to which I was amazed since I've never even in New York seen target carts with automatic perimeter wheel locks on them. I did however find another cart which was unlocked. The inventory levels in this store are very lacking. Also the restocking was very bad since a lot of shelves had a massive amount of empty real estate.Despite passing by numerous employees unlike other targets where they say hello or do you need any help. At this location. You might as well be a ghost. They literally walk by without saying anything even after making eye contact. The pricing at this store location leaves something to be desired. Most items were heavily marked up vs other locations which was weird since target is supposed to have the same pricing everywhere. The overall cleanliness of the store wasn't bad. The bathrooms were truly disgusting however since someone had went on the floor. Also the bathrooms have code locks on them to which I also never seen before at Target. You have to get the bathroom code from the pharmacy. The overall noise level was normal for a retail environment. The general crowd was mainly adults. No kids really.Upon leaving. You're once again asked for change by different panhandlers.Overall. This location is a DUMP. Target needs to do something with the numerous panhandlers as well as properly restocking the store.Dealing with numerous panhandlers coming and going as well as having to obtain door codes just to use the bathroom makes this location NOWHERE near a family store. Add the automatic locking shopping carts plus the very low inventory levels with employees that don't even acknowledge your presence makes this store a VERY HARD PASS.

The worst Target I have ever been to. Constantly out of stock on many items over many separate visits. The worst offense is having a huge amount of personal care items locked up and employees simply never coming to assist. The shortest I've waited was 10 minutes and the longest was 15 before having to walk to the front and ask someone to come open it for me. Just for a $10 bottle of body wash ?♂️

Honestly this is a small Target near my work and metro making it convenient. The handful of times that I was able to either get what I paid for, found what I was looking for without a problem, or wasn’t haggled down by homeless is slim. Using the Target app to do pick up? Your item only has 5+ in stock? Be prepared to not get your item. Would give it two hours. Come to pick up. Check the app. App says 5+ left in stock. Great. Only to be told to wait for the email. Email comes within a minute of that and says not in stock. Walk around and it’s there. It has happened MULTIPLE times to me. Logistically a mess. Customer service is severely terrible. Was told to just “cancel” and buy it again for pick up at another location. The double charge. I have given this location way too many chances. I would chalk it up to a one off instance but it has happened way too many times. If you pre-order things games etc. be prepared

One of the worst targets I’ve been to. Very disappointed and consistently lacks variety of options and is out of stock in many items that are basic necessities. Is consistently missing items that every other target I’ve been to in the country has. Granted, it is a really convenient location for college students and my perception is perhaps skewed given the fact my home is 5 minutes from target North HQ so they’re held to a higher standard.

You can find many things but not all, you can't find a lot of fruit for example pear or more vegetables but it's good.

Not a great shopping experience with many aisles of packaged goods locked up (detergent, shampoo, soap). I tend to avoid places where I have to ask permission to buy a tube of toothpaste that is behind lock and key.Sometimes it's the only Target in the area to have a certain product in stock via the Target app. It's more of a get in and get out type of place. The Bethesda Target further up Wisconsin Ave is somehow smaller but much better than this one. This one is OK, if you're not shopping for stuff that is locked up.I remember when this was a Best Buy...in the good old days.

A lot of the shelves were empty or locked away (skincare aisle) please be aware of homeless people begging for money in the store. I was cornered into buying a gift card for a homeless lady.

Sadly a Target with a great location but while they have a ton a employees running around, the shelves are more often empty than not. Some of the staff is kind whereas others are downright rude ( I asked for an employee to unlock the shelf to get deodorant- yes they have a huge theft problem it seems - and the employee barked " this is my bathroom break!" Lidl is opening soon so will take my business there .
