you know what? I'm incredibly tired of how badly run this target is. okay, sure, the employees want to chat and laugh and not do their job. whatever, I'll use self-checkout. once it gets to the point where they're blocking the door and too busy yelling at each other to hear me asking them to move? that's when perhaps some of them need to be fired. it's surrounded by unhoused people, and target does not care if these people harass you or follow you inside their store. what is the point of employees if they don't do anything at all?

Everything is locked up and there is no one to unlock them. No shopping carts.

I was in town to run the Marine Corps Marathon and came here to buy some drinks. This Target is conveniently located right next to the Cleveland Park Metro Station This was a smaller underground Target, but I was able to find what I needed. I bought a bottle of Gatorade and a 1.5 L bottle of water. Prices were pretty decent. I paid for my items using a self checkout kiosk and was then on my way. A smaller Target means that there's less of a chance of you accidentally overspending, right?

Target in DC is deplorable-should close it’s doors. No shopping carts. No one working in the store. And to make matters worse, half the items in the store are under lock and key-with 0 personnel to help. What a joke!

Amazing target location, with super convenient target pick up and surrounded by amazing stores like a Thai food place, cold stones, and a nail salon. The perfect target experience for the city.

No one working registers, stood for 15 minutes waiting for an employee for a “order pickup”. Security guard watched me waiting and did nothing to help, he also watched a guy shop lift 5 packs of Pampers and didn’t even flinch.

This Target feels like an underground bunker. The couple of times that I've visited they were out of everything I was looking for. Sad atmosphere

No one is ever at the checkout counter to help. Nearly every time I go here, either my self check-out machine or someone else’s machine malfunctions halfway through, and you have to go track down one of the employees to reset it. When that happens you’re lucky if the staff member doesn’t roll their eyes at you or mutter something under their breath. Target needs to have someone assigned to the counter or at the very least, connect the check-out machines to staff pagers.

This is one of the best Targets in the DMV. It is always stocked and staff is always working on the floor. Additionally, they have accessible ALL-GENDER bathrooms. This is one of my favorite Targets. Target is such a great place! Thanks Cleveland Park staff.

No one works here lol Other than misplaced loyalty to capitalism and a very mild concern about a later arrest for shoplifting, there’s no reason to check out here. None of the registers work half the time and there’s no one that can ever be found except stock people who can’t help.

This is not your normal Taget, everyone. It's smaller and underground! It's an amazing find just past the zoo

Incorrect photos representing this target. It's much smaller than pictured and not a great target to shop at unless u know that product is in store based on the app.

Horrible experience!!First thing I noticed was the SMELL - smells like human waste through the whole store. There was not a single human cashier or even a self checkout attendant to fix the machines when 3/5 of them were stuck on ‘someone is on the way to help’ mode. By the time an employee finally came, we had been waiting for 10 minutes and had just gotten to a working register. The employee just walked by and didn’t acknowledge any of the customers or the fact that the registers weren’t working.Whatever. Short staffed and overworked and all that, okay fine. But when I asked where we get the parking validated, the employee vaguely pointed to my right and said ‘press the button twice’ and turned her back to me. When I asked which button, the employee huffed, stomped over, said ‘press the button twice’ with a nasty attitude as they lightly tapped a blue light (that was not a button), then walked away.0/10 will NEVER go again.

I’m sorry but this target smells EVERY time I go. Have to put my mask on because it smells so bad, but even with a mask, it smells. There’s a horrible sewage scent that bleeds its way through the entire store. There are a few items at this target that I like to pick up but the smell is outrageous. I keep thinking it’s a fluke but it really smells horrendous almost every time I go. Most targets smell good. This isn’t acceptable

My friend is a former employee at this establishment and I decided to post this on their behalf to protect their anonymity.First off, HR is prone to scheduling shifts at horrible times with little regard for the time you will have between shifts. Now this could be fixed if HR was more present and was available to talk about shift scheduling and issues that arise from how they do it.Secondly, the General Manager is very aggressive with their style of management. They often are talking down to people and attempting to single them out for ridicule or to give attitude to. They also have zero regard for a worker's wellbeing or health, instead putting the business before the people who have to make sacrifices for it. If you ever do call out and the GM answers, be prepared because she will try to gaslight you and talk you out of whatever your legitimate reason for not being able to come in is.
