I have frequented this store for years becsuse I try to support mom and pop operations. However after years of providing me with a standard regular customer 10% discount, the lady who has waited on me hundreds of times asked for my “discount card”. I never received a discount card and after the hundreds of purchases I was flabbergasted to be asked in the first place. I went back later to tell the man who works there what happened and that I would no longer be a customer. Since I could have gone to any number of stores that are cheaper I was trying to be nice but instead I’m treated like this. Not recommended!!!

Adequate for basic stuff if you are in a pinch. High prices, very limited selection of mostly cheap labels, and service that is indifferent at best.

While completely unassuming, Tenley Liquor is my go-to place to find unique bourbons, great wines, and tasty tequilas. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

If a zero start was possible that would be an accurate rating. The woman at the front proved herself to be needlessly difficult. Guess it's the world we live in, people can't do simple calculations to verify age. I'm in the process of getting a DC license at the time I had an out of state license that's been expired. She made it so difficult to purchase I had to ask another patron to buy my items even though my age could've been deduced from my ID; although expired. Having an expired ID doesn't stop the aging process!! Such a worker B she was with no thought at all, the government wouldn't even need to put obedience chip in her. Also the stores pricing for the area was ridiculous.

Worst customer service ever. The woman at the front bagged our liquor poorly, the bottles ripped right through the bag and shattered as I was walking home and the store refused to take any responsibility in their error. They were rude, disrespectful and unapologetic when I called to let them know what happened. The woman ended up hanging up on me and refused to pick up any of my subsequent phone calls. Would not recommend at all!!

Shelves were all half empty and refrigerated cases in the back were completely empty. Seems like its going out of business?

I'm really torn on this review, on the one hand the store owner is super nice and very sincere, on the other they have a poor selection despite having a lot of empty shelf space in the store. The prices are what you would expect at any other liquor store, so really its the location convenience that makes this store appealing. They could stock their store so much better, lots of empty space!

Never buy kegs from here. Over priced and they expect you to return keg within 3 days or its $3 a day after that. Worst keg buying experience I've ever had. And the rest of the booze is crazy overpriced also. Would not reccomend anyone go there.

Quaint little store in the perfect spot off metro... Prices are a bit high, but I usually buy in VA.. So DC prices shock me... Owner was super nice... Has covid plastic up and even though shelves were a bit empty was able to purchase what I wanted in the size I wanted... Loss of one star for pricing and warm soda but overall a great store.
