If you want the best of THE best mani pedi I always do gel pedicures and acrylics for mani! I go to Tina but everyone is fabulous and they love my dog and always let her come with me! Prices are SO good and I’m a dc native, this is the only nail salon I’ll ever go to. Plus parking is never ever an issue!

Horrible attitudes. Very basic nails for a very high price. Not clean at all. Using the same water for the pedicures for different clients.

Not hygienic and very nasty attitude as if they are doing YOU a favor by coming to their nail salon. The women here come across as if they are pissed to do your nails. I’m sorry you’re stuck in this field and can’t get another job!

I have come here a few times and they do a very good job with nails. However, I noticed some problems with cleanliness. They accepts a lot of walk-ins which is okay, but sometimes they are not prepared. I noticed after I received my pedicure and was transferred to the manicure station, that a walk in came in. The nail ladies told her to sit at the pedicure station I was at 5 minutes prior. I also noticed that my station wasn’t cleaned since I moved. Unfortunately, I saw the walk-in customer put her feet into the same water and plastic that wasn’t changed. In my head I was thinking, who’s going to tell her??

I got gel x extensions (it was just the tip, not full nail) with dip powder French tip, which cost me $70. There was no nail prep done before, zero cuticle care, and barely any filing to help the natural nail grow out smoothly under the extensions. The gel x nails were not filed the same, and I didn’t notice any sanitizing of the station or tools, so I’m lucky I didn’t get an infection. The nails came out fine, but I had to put a little top coat on the next day in some spots because of lifting and chipping. I don’t work with my hands so it was due to a lack of nail prep and proper application. I’d say it was NOT worth $70 and I will not be returning.

I went everything was good but just the day after my nail broke and all I did was grab a bag I was goin go back but I'm not this was not a good experience in the end so upset

I read the reviews before coming and was hoping to have a good experience. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming but I was pretty displeased with the result of my nails. I got dip service with extension and they were all lumpy, different shaped and inconsistent. I had to ask for the sizing to be compared because one hand was clearly so much longer than the other. For the price of this service I would've expected a much more polished even result. In addition, two days later I got an infection in my nail that swelled and had puss leaking from it.

Tenley Nails is a wonderful nail salon. These women have worked together for almost a decade and the sense of family and a happy-go-lucky connection they have with each other and with their customers is very evident. Besides being a happy shop, they are extremely talented. All types and styles of nails but also great pedicures and excellent waxing services. The prices are very reasonable. The shop is not fancy in the least but you’re not paying for a high-end shop. It’s clean and organized.

I'm only halfway through a pedi and am SO impressed! I had to start this review right away. First, everyone is so warm and welcoming. Second, the massage with hot stone is one of the best I've ever had. My pedicurist is so gentle and careful. What a pleasant experience! I'll update after with pics of the finished product.

Great experience. I can be picky about how my nails are done, and no complaints! Once the manipedi lasted twice as long as usual, they did such a good job.

If I could rate this place zero stars I would. I have visited this salon a 3 times before, but my most recent visit is what concerns me most. I came in on an non busy afternoon for a fill. There was literally one other customer. No one wanted to do my nails. I asked for basic design with white stripes and the nail tech who did come forward stated she did not do designs and then began to speak to another tech to do my nails. There were 5 available techs going back and forth about the design and no one wanted to do it. I understand that every tech has different skills but their customer service was poor and beyond the design when I entered the salon there wasn't initiative to take me as a customer. They made me wait several minutes even after I stated what I wanted. The other times I been here I've never seen Black women customers so maybe they are only used to a certain demographic. It's just really unfortunate to me that every customer is not treated with the same level of care. I've attached a picture of the design I asked for as well. I left as they continued to go back and forth about the design and won't be a patron here again.
