Dear CeCe and the Banks family,
Thank you so much for all the fun activities you do for us and for bringing the building together and helping create new friendships. So many creative projects you do for us are greatly appreciated. Everyone who is part of this awesome building, from the lovely ladies who keep the building looking great, is there. The maintenance team, the Front desk crew, and of course the office ninjas with their big smiles. I don't get to say it to you directly as much as I would like to, so I wanted to make sure to thank everything. The BBQ battle gift baskets were awesome.
You bring smiles every day and your kindness and generosity are boundless. You put so much time into the happiness of your tenants that it goes above and beyond. I should know, that whenever you create and host these mixers for the building you're always the first one here and the last one out. I know that is not easy and when you have a team that is cohesive and works like family it projects that same energy to all those who are blessed to be around it.

The management, especially Ava, is the most professional team I've encountered at an apartment complex. Any issue I have they fix it within hours. Highly recommend if you a truly turnkey experience.

The building is nice, clean, and feels safe. Just a block away from the waterfront Wharf shopping and dining area. And the staff is very kind and helpful — Cece got jumper cables from her own car to help me start up my vehicle in a pinch, and Fernando is always there to chat and help resolve any issues. Friendly, personal service in a comfortable, well located building.

To all DC residents and fellow Banks neighbors,
The management is DECEPTIVE with their rent and utilities fees, they will take your money without providing an explanation. They show no respect to their tenants. They will not respond to any matter unless you talk in person or threaten to take legal action.
Prime example:
My last month was only 14 days and they charged my full rent! The office manager did not respond to my email and was “too busy” to answer my phone call. I completed the move and returned the keys but still did not hear from them. I reached out and once again the manager did not respond. After threatening to take legal action for committing fraud they agreed to mail me a check after ensuring the apartment was in good condition……..This raises the suspicion for unlawful security deposit withholding without my permission.
They then change the ledger to reflect the money as a “security deposit” return which is not true. Per my three-year contract, I never paid a security deposit. I have pictures of the ledger difference.
Despite all the evidence they continue to fault me for having autopay set up through their recommended RentCafe. Per autopay settings it charges the “Current Acct Period ONLY”. They prorated the car parking for 14 days but why not the rent ? They are aware of this and yet they don’t let the tenants know about it…....
The amount is $1650 being “mailed” which is extremely not secure. I nor anyone should have to fight to get their money back that was unlawfully taken from them.
Other examples: Utility fees spike with no explanations (three times in amount). The air conditioner on the 6th floor stopped working for 6 straight weeks and No communications were provided. A gas leak smell on the rooftop terrace has been ongoing for the past 3 months! Multiple tenants are locked out of their apartments multiple times throughout the year because of faulty locks.
Three years ago when I moved into this building it was phenomenal with great management but unfortunately the past year they declined tremendously. The only thing still going for them is a strong maintenance team and kind concierges. I am happy to live somewhere else now.

Cece often organizes great events for The Banks apartment. The fireworks event at the apartment's rooftop lounge on the Fourth of July was phenomenal!

STAY AWAY - I just toured this place and they have roaches. I saw them in the dishwasher of the place i toured. Sorry to the person who just rented one of the units i was interested in. Beware..

The Banks welcomed my daughter as a resident as soon as we began our tour. Chanel was, and is, excellent. A great facility and a great staff. Thank you.

I just had a tour from Chanel and she did a wonderful job taking me through The Banks community and highlighting the amenities! Not only was her personality and service excellent, but so was CeCe the lovely concierge!

I have lived here for a year and been locked out of my apartment several times because of a faulty lock on the door that never gets fixed. I have had to wait for hours up to a full day and even had to sleep in another random unit over night until I was able to get back in. I raised this issue to the property manager only two months after I moved in and then over and over in person and in emails and they did nothing! Cannot wait for my lease to end. Do not rent here!

RIDICULOUS. Scheduled a self-guided tour, got a confirmation, showed up and was told they don’t do tours on Sundays. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.
