Amazing service, quick turnaround, quality repairs and replacements. Will and the gang treated my 10yo Jamis as if it were the finest bike on the road, and they talked to me (a commuter, not a pro) without condescension. I’ve used a mobile service in the past year, but decided for community-support reasons that I need to patronize my neighborhood shops. I am SOOOO GLAD I did. The Daily Rider will be my only bike shop from now on.

I love the daily rider! Their team is incredibly kind always willing to offer me a helping hand with my bike since 2018 when I purchased it. They really are a great bike shop and very knowledgeable too!

I've visited the Daily Rider 3 times for bike repairs for my ECargo Bike, and every time I am so thankful to have this gem in DC! The staff are patient when listening to the many issues that plagued my ECargo bike, thorough in their repairs (I know these fixes will last me a long time), and best of all, communicative beyond measure. Every step of the way they texted and/or called me to update me on the process, to ask permission to do certain fixes, and to explain my options. For anyone looking for a local bike shop that actually cares about you as a customer and doesn't talk down to you, stop by the Daily Rider! They also have a nice selection of accessories (locks, bells, etc) and a convenient location (just take the streetcar to them if you have a flat tire!). Thanks team, you have a customer for life in me!

Fast and friendly service. They found a separate issue while servicing my brakes and after having me approve the additional repair, they were able to complete this work in the same day. Bike is running great.

I was recently working in Washington DC and happened upon this bike shop! They did an exceptional job dropping everything they do just to focus on me without any pressure to sell which was an automatic sale!!More importantly I have been into this shop several times in addition to all the bicycle shops in DC and I have never once witnessed where they didn't stop to pay attention to the customer coming in the door, while trying their best to make sure that everything that they needed was taken care of right then and there. There was little expectation in my exploration of all the bicycle shops in Washington DC, but daily Rider was at the top, for sure.Even after the sale of a Marin mountain bike they continued to be diligent in providing customer service during my stay.Kudos to what you would want of your neighborhood business taking care of their customers!!

Very nice guy! In need of a bicycle box as I’m moving away. They gave me the box as requested, but then unprompted: offered to disassemble the bike, and gave me protective packing accessories! When asked how much, he said it was Free. Wow!So pleasant, courteous, and generous.

Tl;dr: My neighbor warned me that the owner used to be a cop and still behaves like it. Rude & dismissive, not interested in even listening to the service you're requesting, nor the parameters of your bike and components. If he weren't the owner, I'd assume he was being paid on commission for each customer that left thinking "huh, that guy was totally unhelpful and patronizing." I can't fault a shop for refusing to do work that they deem unsafe, but that's not what this review is about.Full review: I took my Priority converted e-bike in for a few services (fork replacement, brake tune-up, tube replacement). Spoke to a nice guy on the phone the previous week, explained my situation, was told to bring the bike by for service. Dropped off the replacement components with an equally friendly gentleman at the front desk, then ran back to my car for the bike itself. By the time I returned, the owner was standing at the door, ready to deliver his monologue. The door had barely closed, in fact, when I was told they weren't going to work on it because replacing the fork would mess with the geometry of the bike (others online with *my exact model* have reported this to be a non-issue?), that the fork was incompatible because Priority didn't make suspension forks (what does this even mean??) that it wouldn't fit the axle (I mean, it DOES fit and I knew this because I already fit it myself???), that they wouldn't file down the fork (I wasn't even asking them to[!]????), and that RadPower is currently being sued for "this exact thing" (turns out RadPower is *actually* being sued because of their quick release forks messing with brake rotors, not because of the fork itself?????).After he got done with his soliloquy (felt like I needed a shave after waiting that long for it to end), I realized he'd made up his mind and that was going to be that. I genuinely didn't understand the issue with what I was trying to do, and mentioned I had a beefy torque arm, which only prompted an incredulous response to the extent of "you're going to put a torque arm on a suspension fork?!?". He further elaborated with some really helpful insights, like saying "that's very dangerous, don't do that" before walking off, shaking his head and scoffing as he looked away from me muttering "don't ever put a torque arm on a suspension fork... ... ..." and disappearing into the back office area as his voice trialed off. It's really not difficult (!) to avoid being curt and patronizing with people. If the owner had been interested in listening or explained... really... anything, I'd not be writing this review, but that wasn't the case. You ever read reviews of a place where others suggest owners/staff are rude and think "how bad can they be?", until you go and have the "ohhhhhhhhh yeah, ok, I get it now" realization? That's this place. I highly recommend reading the other reviews that report similar things (or, you may just luck out and not have to deal with the owner at all!).I still have no idea *why* what I was trying to do was so dangerous, but I DID learn something today: the owner is a rude blockhead. Take your bike elsewhere.

Very confused by the other reviews but I found this place incredibly overpriced. They charged us $70 for bar tape and putting the bar tape on which is crazy. Then some bike packers dropped in to get their pedals loosened and they charged $10 and said remove the bags or we’ll have to charge more for using automatic stand. Seemed unnecessary and ridiculous

I love The Daily Rider! The people who work there are fellow riders, and I trust their work. They pay attention to detail and do a great job of making sure that my bike is ready for daily commuting and cargo hauling. I never feel like they're talking down to me. They're also very communicative and responsive--I can really rely on them. I make it a point to go to this shop for repairs even though it's far for me and there are more convenient shops near my neighborhood.

Highly recommend especially if you own a Marin bike. The guys at Daily Rider are super customer service oriented, take their time to hear your concerns, and communicate their results and repair suggestions very well. I took my Marin to Daily Rider and within minutes, the rep was able to zero in on the issue. I got my bike back within days and have had no issues! They even fixed my saddle! Five Star 1st time experience- will def go back for future repairs and service. I have had hit/miss with Conte's in Navy Yard (bad installation of the braking system & lackluster annual service job). I also tried Bicycle Space - their problematic customer service leaves a lot to be desired and will def upsell you on service.

Massive thanks to The Daily Rider team for their help today--the staff are efficient, knowledgeable, and really kind! I went in to have a flat tire fixed and they handled it so quickly. They also took the time to make sure all my questions were answered and gave me (a new biker!) tips to prevent punctures and flats moving forward. As I was riding home from the shop, my bike saddle fell off unexpectedly (it must've loosened over time without me realizing) and I returned to the store that same afternoon. The mechanic set it right immediately for no additional charge. Had a great experience and would recommend The Daily Rider to any biker!

Staff was extremely helpful when I had a problem with my bike that I didn’t even buy from the store and gave me advice on how to fix it. Will definitely go there to buy a new bike.

Took the bike in for what I thought would need some repairs. I told them I knew nothing about bikes, and they were very honest that the wheel was just out of alignment and only charged me for a regular tune up.

Got a flat on the way to work and realized the e-bike was due for a tune-up. Daily Rider was prompt, responsive, and extremely detailed -- I particularly appreciated how they gave precise enumerations of work performed and sought to keep costs down. Excellent work, the bike rides great. Will definitely return!

Have now been very unimpressed with them on two brompton repairs. On this last one they said they were surprised by a feature that is apparent from literally just looking at the bike. Save your time and go to bikespace vienna instead.
