Drinks are good, atmosphere is very cool. Just advertise their happy hour poorly. Sign in hotel (not sure about website) says happy hour Thursday - Sunday. Which is not Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun but the other days of the week, just a heads up.

Cool spot in the Watergate Hotel. Classy and comfortable. Cal made a fantastic Cherry Blossom cocktail.

Stopped by for a nightcap and was happy with the service and variety of spirits. The Whiskey list was impressive and as I was looking for a Smokey and peaty whiskey, the recommendation of a Lagavulin 11 was prefect. The Whistle Pig Old Fashioned was very tasty as well.

It's an awesome whiskey bar located in the watergate Hotel. Allot of whiskey options and they offer some unique flights of whiskey. It was a very nice vibe with great service.

Way overpriced and they literally shouted patrons out of the place right after last call. A security guard stood at our table 15 minutes before closing and said she'd remain there until we got up and left.

We reserved one of the unique winter igloos here and what an absolute treat! We also got lucky as it was just after the first snowfall so we had a magical little snowglobe to ourselves. The domes are kitted with heaters and blankets and the setting is great for intimate conversations. A speaker was provided should we want to play our own music which was a delightful touch. The food was delicious and served fairly quickly and the staff were lively and friendly.Would recommend this experience to all.

Trendy bar right inside the Watergate Hotel. The drinks definitely aren't cheap but they are good. Cool place to grab a drink while you're at the hotel, but there are plenty of other options if you're not staying here.

The ornament igloos were soooo cute! We were fortunate to not have to have the $300 minimum. All of our food and drinks were really good too. The drinks are pretty pricey but they’re

They overcharged me TWICE. Tried calling and they don’t have a phone line. Could not get a manager on the phone at The Watergate and the operator told me to send an email and they’d get back to me in two business days.

There were many food dishes that were on the menu but weren’t available. The Salmon sliders had decent flavor but was overcooked. The charcuterie board didn’t come with cheese, but the French fries were amazing. The Virgin mojitos were delicious as well!We rented the igloo and it was such a vibe! There is a heater and speaker available during the rental time.I would recommend the igloo rentals and drinks, but eat before you come.I would recommend the igloo

The Next Whisky Bar is located on the first floor of the Watergate Hotel 2650 Virginia Avenue in D.C. Next door at 2600 Virginia Avenue is the Watergate Office Building where on the 6th Floor in the office of the Democratic National Committee on June 17, 1972, five burglers were arrested at 2:30 in the morning. The burglary and the coverup ultimately led to the resignation of President R.M. Nixon in August of 1974. The bar is a swanky, intimate and serene cocktail lounge. E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy, the architects of the break-in and originally key functionaries in The White House Special Investigations Unit (aka The Plumbers, known as this since their job was to stop leaks) were staying in room 214 of the Hotel during the burglary. The bar entrance is quite spectacular, aglow with 2,500 illuminated whiskey bottles. The red velvet chairs are an inviting offering to sip a few and are more comfy than they appear. The Charcuterie Board was okay for noshing but nothing spectacular. While The Watergate Complex is a part of history, the Next Whiskey Bar was not frequented by Nixon's Attorney General & Campaign Manager John Mitchell and his wife Martha (aka The Mouth of the South) as it was not created until a total hotel renovation completed in 2016. In addition to the Mitchell's the Watergate has been the home of many D.C. luminaries. Enjoy The Next Whiskey Bar at the Watergate!

During a recent visit to The Next Whisky Bar, I was captivated by the exceptional experience it offered. Upon entering, my friend and I were warmly welcomed by our server, Yaya, whose genuine hospitality set the stage for a memorable evening. I took the opportunity to share my appreciation for whiskey/whisky with Yaya, providing her with insight into my preferences. To my delight, Yaya and her colleague, Khalid, demonstrated exceptional dedication by recommending Westward finished on a Pinot noir cask and Limavady, both of which I found to be exquisite choices. As a devoted enthusiast of single malts, I was thoroughly impressed. Our enjoyment was further elevated by the expertly crafted espresso martinis, featuring bourbon and tequila, which added a delightful dimension to our experience. Needless to say, I eagerly anticipate my return visit on my next sojourn from New York.
