I had to share a disappointing experience I had at The UPS Store located on H Street in DC on Tuesday, June 17th at approximately 6:00 PM.
I visited the store to return an Amazon package, as I have done many times over the past five years. I placed the box on the counter and presented the QR code to the store representative. To my surprise, the associate responded by saying, “I don’t know if we’re going to be able to close this box,” indicating a reluctance to assist with sealing the return package.
In my experience, UPS Store employees have always accepted Amazon returns, scanned the code, sealed the package themselves, and provided a receipt—efficient and courteous. This time was notably different and left me confused and dissatisfied. I was under the impression that sealing the box is part of the standard return process.
I believe this store could benefit from additional customer service training, particularly around handling Amazon returns in a professional and consistent manner. Experiences like this diminish trust and convenience that loyal customers like myself have come to expect.

Janine and the team were great! I had to ship a lot of heavy boxes for work and Janine was very pleasant to work with calm, professional, and incredibly efficient even during a busy moment. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was packed securely and labeled correctly, and took extra care to walk me through the process with patience and a smile. The whole team worked like a well-oiled machine, showing excellent communication and genuine care for customers. It’s rare to find this level of service these days. This store is a true standout and a credit to the UPS brand. Upper management should know they’ve got rockstars on the ground here. I’ll absolutely be back and recommending this location to colleagues and friends.

AMARI IS AMAZING! MVP! I emailed some document at night and even had to do a second email with new printing instructions and new version and I showed up the next morning as soon as they opened and he already had them printed out and EXACTLY RIGHT!!!!! He has done several of my business products. This is where I go now. Not pennsylyave. They are also not as busy with packages like Penn.
