This is an awesome coffee shop! The staff was friendly and provided quick service. The cardamom muffin was fantastic, and Wydown had some of the best coffee in the city! The location wasn’t enormous, but it had enough seating for everyone that visited when we were there. If you like coffee, make sure to visit Wydown!

Consistently delicious food cooked up and served by a chill, caring group. Comfortable environment with plenty of seating inside the lobby of the Apollo. Mobile ordering is a breeze and I’ve never waited too long. Strong recommend.

I’ve been to their 14th street location so I knew what I was going into. I always love wydown and their coffee. I’m a fan of their specialty drinks too which are always great. This time I just went with their iced vanilla latte and a cherry almond scone. The scone was so delicious, and I loved my latte as well. Since we said we’d eat there they put our drinks in actual dish-ware. There is some seating available in store, but this location is also connected to an apartment which has some seating in their lobby. We de iced to grab a table in the apartment lobby because it was decorated beautifully with all the plants. It was a great vibe and the perfect place to do some work or just catch up with friends!

I travel from afar for their egg biscuit - it welcomes me on every return to DC. And such excellent coffee from Small Planes - just the right notes. Kudos to the Wydown team.

This is a trendy coffee shop that is located on h Street inside an apartment building. There's a bar counter in front of the window to people watch or at the coffee area. The staff were polite and knowledgeable of the beans and offered recommendations. The cinnamon roll was delicious, and the mocha was equally as delightful for a Sunday morning. No long wait, the upstairs area was very nice with lake windows, lots of green foliage, tables, accent, arm and polish chairs... very nice and worth a 2nd visit coming from the suburbs.

I like but don't love The Wydown. The espresso is okay - too light of a roast for my taste so the spot could never be my go-to. The ambiance is nice, almost a little too nice actually - it's so bright and stylish that it lacks a coziness. The service is great - I went on a busy Saturday and the team was getting things out quickly and with a smile. I definitely recommend the sausage, egg and cheese - it comes on a big biscuit and it's delicious. I'll be back, and definitely take visitors who would like a trendy coffee stop

We love the Wydown! It’s the perfect place to grab a coffee, a delicious ious breakfast burrito, catch up with friends, or get some work done. Seating is a little limited, but we can usually find a nook in the seating in the lobby of the Apollo which is open to coffee shop customers.Parking: Parking on H street is usually manageable in the mornings!

Blackberry lavender scone was excellent and lightly sweetened; it was soft inside yet also perfectly crispy on the outside. Iced latte with oat milk was solid, although it tasted pretty light to me. Strawberry lavender kombucha was good and refreshing. Good service. Ambiance is cozy, chill, and hipster--popular place for working.

This is hands down the best coffee shop in DC.When you first come in, you can admire the coffee-art on the walls: abstract art made with spilled coffee on white canvass. It's unique, cool, and I've never seen more on-theme coffee shop decor. If you go early in the morning (as I do), you will be blessed with the honor of smelling their baked goods baking. They have a case of freshly baked muffins, scones, and biscuits right where you order. The service is always friendly and tends to be quick. Like any coffee shop, the commuting hours are rush hour and it can get a little slower down by a massive influx of people and online orders. Despite that, I've never waited for an incredibly long time. The coffee is always fresh and it is SO smooth. Like you'll take a sip and then look at the cup like Seriously, this is the smoothest coffee I've had in DC. Also, they have an excellent hand for syrups. When I ask for a "little bit" they give me that. Never overly sweet which is huge for me.The baked goods are heavenly although admittedly I've only had the pumpkin muffin and biscuit. The pumpkin muffin has a crumble topping which is NOT laden with sugar. It's a nice, lightly sweet cinnamon sugar type or crumble with a sprinkle of actual pumpkin seeds. The muffin is moist and has a lovely flavor so I haven't tried any other flavor of muffin because I'm hooked. If you're in the area, try this place out.

I pop in almost weekly en route to work and can now say with some authority that the breakfast biscuit sandwiches are not to be missed! All of the components make for a peak biscuit sandwich experience. If you like a little kick, try the jalapeño biscuit.

Wydown on H Street has become my go-to coffee spot, primarily because of its incredibly convenient location.Being the closest coffee shop to us is a major plus. The convenience is hard to beat, and the staff's friendliness and efficiency make it an even more pleasant experience. One of the standout features of this place is the attention to detail in its design. It's clear that someone has put a lot of effort into making it a beautiful space. From the marble countertops to the stylish round table booths and the eye-catching logo and merchandise, you really feel like you're in a place where the aesthetics match the price. However, where things take a slight dip is with the coffee itself. It's just okay, which is surprising given the meticulous attention to detail in every other aspect of the establishment. While the coffee isn't bad by any means, I find myself, at times, opting for Starbucks across the street. This is something that could use improvement, especially for a craft coffee shop.Despite the coffee's shortcomings, the fact that I keep coming back says a lot about the rest of the establishment. It's not just about the coffee; it's the overall experience and convenience that keeps me returning. In addition to the aesthetics, Wydown offers alternative milk options and a reasonable rewards program. It's a fantastic place to grab a coffee, even if there's room for improvement in that particular area. When it comes to coffee shops on H Street, finding a 5-star coffee might be a challenge, but Wydown has its unique charm, convenience, and thoughtful details that make it a worthwhile regular spot.
