So this is located in the so-called Capital Area which is southeast DC once you come outside to Eastern Market train station and you face Pennsylvania Avenue it's right across the street Trader Joe is located downstairs in a building I like going there because you get food for cheaper and food that you can't really find any other place the staff is really really friendly the store is kept clean and the price is reasonable so I will shop there and I encourage you guys to do the same thing 2 plus 2 equal friendly

This was my 1st time at this location, & I chose to go on a Saturday morning, yes it was busy, but it was a great experience, the store was well stocked, the people were friendly. & the store associate was very helpful, & kind,provided helpful advice on my next trip, when i explained this was my 1st time there,even offered a lollipop for my grandson, who loved the experience as well. I would definitely recommend, & be visiting again. The outdoor vendors were nice too. Thanks Trader Joe's

I occasionally shop at this Trader Joe’s and usually enjoy the experience. However, during my most recent visit, I had a disappointing and uncomfortable encounter.
I entered the store with my small dog safely inside a black carrier, which I placed in the shopping cart while I shopped. I only picked up a few items—five total—and paid for them as I always do. Despite this, the security guard began to follow me closely around the store. He probably thought the carrier was a duffle bag. He should’ve been more observant and got a closer look if he really wanted to know what was inside my cart.
It became clear that he likely assumed I was attempting to steal. The cashier that rung me up, saw my dog inside of his carrier.
Being followed and scrutinized in that way, especially when I did nothing wrong, was unsettling and unnecessary. I hope Trader Joe’s takes steps to ensure all customers feel welcome and are treated with respect—especially those who are doing nothing more than shopping peacefully with their pets.

Very nice grocery store. Most items are organic. Prices are like Safeway and Wegmans but cheaper then wholefoods. So many types of ice creams, fruits and flowers. Bakery side is way smaller then Safeway Wegmans neither the bakery tastes excellent. Eggs and milk cheaper. U can find Asian food and variety of frozen food. They have fruit buttons which are very tasty, 59cents and tastes like real fruit.
Halal food not available but naan parathas and Indian packaged food samosas rolls and different rice and curry available.
My favorite section is flower and fruit.
Clean smells good but crowded.

There was just a whole grip of homeless people out front of this Trader Joe’s. I know people love Trader Joe’s, but this was just not for me. I think I’d rather do my shopping in the suburbs.
