They are temporarily closed but there is no indication of that on their website or online, so you don’t know until you pull up to the door.

Union Kitchen at Eckington Pl, N.E. fried the store GM on 12/18/2023, and the team he hired. The day the termination was done, the original team at Eckington Pl helped them from the 3rd Street store and moved all their products in the store two hrs before the termination happened. The reason Michael Bouchard- Store Director of Union Kitchen fired the original team members at Eckington Pl was because in is word's: " We shut down the 3rd street location, so the 3rd street team is taking on this location." So we letting everyone go that the original GM hired ( Samuel Logan).I know one guy was only their for three weeks working as "Manger In Training."People even got fired, and that wasn't their on the schedule that day to know about their unreasonable termination. And Some people were on the schedule that day was termination walking into work. This is very ? because the holidays is coming up. They could have let them know in advance about the transition. It's is a very cold world out here. I thought Union Kitchen was about the neighborhood, but I guess not.Union Kitchen was also sued in the pastFor not paying it's employees as well, and I heard it was a on going thing still.

The staff is awesome. Today, Jamaal, Ashley, and Tyrone gave me the best service. This place is awesome and huge on service. Tyrone makes the best chicken salad sandwich in the DMV.

The Blue Crab Breakfast bowl was off. Love this place but maybe they had a bad day with prep?

Wowowowowow. This was the first time in a LONG time I felt like I was back in NYC. There's a great selection of home grown items at Union Kitchen, in addition to moderately priced bites. They have a fully stocked grocery store inside, as well as wine/beer and liquor for purchase. Plus you get points every time you make a purchase! I tried the bacon/goat cheese croissant and it was heavenly. The goat cheese was so smooth and creamy, clearly very fresh!! The bacon was just enough, again nicely sized and freshly sliced. The egg was light and fluffy, with a nice firm yolk. I also got a chai latte, which was the right amount of spice. I'll definitely be back for more breakfast options and some groceries!

I love coming here--the cutest little market/cafe in DC. The staff is great, and because there isn't a lot of foot traffic, it's a great place to sit and get work done. They also have wine-tasting events on the second Friday of every month; although I haven't been, I heard it's a great time.

Got a chicken pesto sandwich and a caprese. The chicken was pretty dry and didn't really have any pesto. Caprese was lackluster and the mayo was overpowering. To top it off I paid $28 all together. Waste of money

The office crew might have tried everything on the menu here already, and there's not a bad option we've found :) plus I like to peruse the take-away beer selections. Wines are just as fun to explore, though I haven't taken a bottle from here yet. Prices are a bit higher than other options around, but very healthy and portions are satisfying.

Quickly becoming one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite. Staff is friend and fast. A nice place to chill with a chai latte and get some work done.Wheelchair accessibility: The Cafe is street level, so no worries about stairs. There's also lots of seating options both indoors and outdoors.

This place is constantly messing up orders, over salting the food, and also takes at least 25 minutes to make one sandwich, even if there are no other customers. The workers spend more time chatting than actually making your sandwich, which is usually wrong. Don't waste your time on an overly salty, incorrectly made sandwich that takes forever - go to Cracked or Capo if you want quality food and quality service.
