I have been trying since July 2023 to get my 98 year old mother's application for the Affordable Connectivity Program processed. Each time I submit the application, I got an email requesting more information. When I send the information based on the email I received, I do not hear from anyone after that. I call and give the Application ID number assigned and I am told that your information was received and you will be notified in 1-3 days but there again, I do not hear from anyone. What is concerning to me is that I inquire about if that requested information is sufficient but I never get a satisfactory answer. My additional concern is I have submitted my mother's personal information to this agency and since I can not seem to get my mother's application approved, her information is not secured.I am so surprised that this ACP is advertised as a Federal program but it is truly disappointing in the administrating of the application process.

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff, you don't know who you are talking to, they avoid saying their name to you, neither read your documents. very disappointing with how they operate.

Their employees are not adequately looking over the documentation I’ve sent in. I have sent in so many different forms and finally submitted my IRS return through a verified source and they keep telling me to submit something that has been issued in the last 12 months ( it is the most recent available return) and/or a future expiration date.I’ve even spoken to someone on the phone and they said that should finally work and it’s been denied again.What a joke!

Be very wary of applying for grants or services because there is no service. Our school has been waiting for 6 months to get paid on a grant. We would not have spent the funds had we known that it would take forever to get reimbursed.

ONGOING DISCRIMINATION.I am Deaf, I cannot hear on the phone.I have been approved 5 different times for the EBB Benefit. Spectrum refused to acknowledge this $50 off. After FCC complaints, emails, texts, and phone calls by a hearing individual.1st, they lied and said the FCC bills their customers.2nd, they lied and said Universal Service Administrative Co. did not approved me.I have asked the USACo. now 15 different times for this proof.Was it true? Why did they say I wasn't approved?I have forwarded Spectrum's email 10 times.They keep answering NOT what I am asking.Is what Spectrum stating true: "The National Lifeline Accountability Database (administered by the Universal Service Administrative Co.) did not approve our request to enroll you into the Affordable Connectivity Program. As a result, we had to close your application."?They have REFUSED to provide an answer. It is outrageous. Is this true or not? And if so, why?They have emailed me: what my current LifeLine Benefits are, how to change those LifeLine Benefits, how to apply for the internet discount I've been approved for 5 times, about their website, about their com.THESE PEOPLE HAVE REFUSED TO ANSWER WHAT I HAVE ASKED. DID YOU NOT APPROVE ME AS SPECTRUM IS STATING? OR IS SPECTRUM LYING?I did not ask what my phone plan is, how to change my phone plan, how to change companies. I DID NOT ASK ANY OF THIS.They have absolutely REFUSED to answer what Spectrum has stated: "The National Lifeline Accountability Database (administered by the Universal Service Administrative Co.) did not approve our request to enroll you into the Affordable Connectivity Program." Is this true? If so why? If so, send me the paperwork where you denied me for Benefits I was already approved for.I've been emailed by 10+ different CS people and they just send me scripts.They're oddly covering for Spectrum, who is also a huge problem. I cannot hear on the phone. Both these people and Spectrum have made sure that I did not receive the EBB Benefit or the Affordable Connectivity Program benefit. Which I was already approved for. I receive SSDI, SNAP, the Home Heating Credit, I earn far below poverty levels, I get Medicare and Medicaid.Already getting LifeLine you are AUTOMATICALLY APPROVED. But again, they are not answering what I asked. They are telling me how to change my phone plan, change my phone #, what my phone plan is, more nonsense I did not ask.They are continuing ongoing, constant Discrimination against a Disabled, Deaf woman.Spectrum stated: "The National Lifeline Accountability Database (administered by the Universal Service Administrative Co.) did not approve our request to enroll you into the Affordable Connectivity Program."

It's challenging to even get to speak with someone who can answer some of your questions and communicate effectively.. it's like that most of the time with many places . . All in all I finally reached someone who was clear and concise that helped me. Unfortunately to speak with someone you have to do quite a bit of waiting. The person who actually helped me they deserve 5 stars... everyone else was lacklustet.

you can be set up for very inexpensive internet with ebb. the website can be a navigation nightmare trying to add an email address after approval. get your email on application and the benefits are easy to attain.
