I tried to leave this comment months ago until now I was able to. When I got to this place I was scared. The dark-haired teachers were very cold and rude, especially Tamika, who I worked with and laughed at me. They were never at work, they always went out to lunch for several hours and left very early, those who worked hard were the Hispanic women in attendance. The upstairs living room, as I can describe it, was unpleasant. The teacher I mentioned was aggressive, always yelling and abusing, hitting the children. Children don't want you to help them, they want them to do everything on their own without help. And the director scammed me, and the owner didn't want to pay me. It is not a safe or welcoming place. Be careful The place is dirty and old and has rodents and I do not recommend it, I will never return I am still afraid

As parents, finding the perfect daycare for our first child was no easy task. Fortunately, our search led us to University for Kids. There’s no better place for young children than UFK! The rich, innovative experiences provided to the children are by far set apart. This is an extraordinary safe place for young children. What’s more important, feedback is critical to work together on behalf of your child! Prime Time moments are essential attributes of the teachers work and excellence is the standard. Instantaneously you have a guaranteed peace of mind when leaving your child. As part of the management team, I fully endorse and stand strong on this review!

Delighted to share our exceptional experience with University for Kids, Capitol Hill—our now 2yo son’s first daycare experience. He’s been here a year and we truly could not love it more. We feel so lucky to have found a place that not only prioritizes education, but also extends genuine kindness to our son and every child in his class/the center. The curriculum provided is outstanding, striking the perfect balance between structured learning and play. We especially appreciate the regular updates throughout the day (everything from photos to nap time to BM updates) and the genuine caring, warmth and kindness of all the teachers—and Mrs. McFadden, the administrator, who is just a saint and always so responsive over text to any requests or inquiries. The teachers at this daycare are truly phenomenal—they are dedicated, caring, and fully invested in each child's growth. It brings us immense joy to see our child thoroughly enjoying his time here, having fun and making friends while learning. I couldn’t recommend this daycare more to any parent in search of a nurturing and enriching environment for their child.

All three of my kids attended Kiddie University over the last 6 years. It's a bit strange that we are no longer a member of the KU family but very happy with our experience. My kids thrived socio emotionally and created bonds with teachers, staff and other kids. The teachers cared for my kids and they were safe. Highly recommend this daycare center.

Kiddie is an amazing childcare provider and we have sent both our kids there from infant to 3. Kids there are kept safe, nurtured, and most of all loved. We can see in our kids how much they adore their teachers. As a family with two working parents, practically, the hours are fantastic, kids get fed breakfast, lunch, and snack. Beyond major holidays and a few PD days, they are always open. There is outdoor space on campus. We get updates daily via the app.The parent community is also great - we've made amazing friendships that will last well beyond our time at Kiddie.

My son has been in the infant program for a few months, and we've been very happy here. He is never stressed or over-tired at the end of the day and full of smiles for his caregivers at drop off.I have an older child as well who has been in two other daycare centers over several years. The infant teachers here are far and away the best caregivers I've ever met in any of the centers we've been to.I love walking by and seeing the older children playing outside in good weather, this center is truly a part of the neighborhood.

We have been at Kiddie (now University for Kids) since our oldest kid was very young. We started at the H street location and moved to the F street location when our oldest moved to the preschool class. Our youngest started in the baby room at the F street location. Overall, we've been happy with our experience at both locations. The teachers clearly love the kids, and my daughters have always been happy to go and happy when we pick them up. And importantly, we feel that our kids are safe. Kiddie isn't as fancy as some other daycares, but my girls have still flourished; in particular, my very shy oldest kid really thrived and developed socially and emotionally while also learning other things like her ABCs. They were fantastic during COVID. Even when shut down at the beginning, they set twice daily zooms to give weary parents even a brief break, and they remained open for kids of essential workers. They reopened for everyone far earlier the most daycares, and have been careful but also less strict than many (kids must be 24 hours fever free, can't have more than one symptom, but they won't send you home with a runny nose, so we've actually had child care). And while they follow OPM, they have also reopened when possible if OPM makes a judgement call about inclement weather but then snow doesn't materialize. The communication from the location director could be better and isn't always the most professional, but it is improving. and April who oversees all of the Kiddie locations has been very responsive when we need help resolving billing issues and issues related to reimbursement for dependent care.

We love Kiddie University! The teachers and staff are absolutely wonderful. They take of our child like he was their own. I feel very comfortable dropping my son off each day knowing he's being well taken care of and learning from his teachers!

We LOVE Kiddie University - they have very much vested in every aspect of making sure a child feels loved, learns a great deal, and is heathy and happy. Every caregiver from the director to every teacher makes a great effort to love and care for the children. Our son had the best time, developed incredibly, and made some deep friendships. We very much miss Kiddie U!

Really wonderful child care in Cap Hill! We've been so pleased with the quality of care from teachers, as well as the overall facility, which is spacious, clean, and stimulating for the children. From the very start, our 2-yo daughter thrived here and we're really grateful we had this option right in our neighborhood.
