I was recommended to him a while back. He did some work for me and today is the last day I will ever walk into the service again
He is not friendly at all, and I have a hard time understanding him. It is no disrespect to him, but I don’t think he was considerate for his customers, considering that there are many mechanics in this area.
I came to him and told him that I bought a brand new battery and somehow my car still dies while I’m driving . He was so rude with the way he told me that it’s an alternator issue and that the alternator is not consistently powering my engine the reason why the car is dying. Gave me a price for the labor to replace the alternator and told me rudely to go buy it at AutoZone. I was willing to take a Uber to AutoZone to buy the part or walk there myself (Rhode island autozone is 6 min away). I plead it to him if he could just keep my car there because I had no way to move it because it wouldn’t turn on He didn’t even have the decency to even help me jumpstart my car with cables so that I can move the car and then told me I had to move it
I was willing to give him a service and pay him the $130 of labor he said would cost to replace the alternator but told me I had to leave because it’s an hour before he has to close. I just did think that he doesn’t have the personality to be in customer service.
I am a resident of this neighborhood for more than 30 years There’s no reason for any of us to deal with people who are not friendly to customers
This is my first bad review of any establishment.

I needed my oil changed and they accommodated me the same day. He had my car ready sooner than I expected. Highly recommend, great service, quick, and responsive.

I believe that Value Auto Service is a an excellent on numerous fronts! I purchased in September a used car to get around during Covid. It drove fine, however I took it to a repair shop on the Hill just to check it out. They charged $150 to look the car (fine). However, they decided that I needed to have the oil changed (there was no light on) and various other items done for $3,000. I complied. It was a mistake to trust them. I will not list all the issues, however there were several. Anyway two weeks later the car would not start. I wasn't going back to the old place so I took it over to Kiet's Value Auto Service. They were excellent!!! Kiet installed a new battery and I was ready to go. Three months later a separate issue happened with the car and Kiet took care of it quickly. This mechanic is excellent, polite, and affordable . Anyway, I very much recommend his service and the auto shop.

This shop was incredibly welcoming. I live just a couple blocks away & am grateful to have this place nearby. Took my car there 2 times for separate reasons so far in 2020, and the results have been fantastic.
