Amazing market. Only place with a wide selection and reasonable prices

Terrible now with the new management. It was okay when they first took over (really liked the young cashier, he was super helpful and nice). But now their service is just bad and inventory is just as low as when they took over. Asked the new cashier a question and he blankly stared at me while chatting on the phone, then continued chatting. Taking higher margins and providing lower service. Not a great combo. Lived across the street from here for a few years and always loved this place. It’s a shame what they’ve done to it.

I live right around the corner so we used to frequent this place when the former family owned and ran it. It got sold and shortly started going downhill. Much better to walk to other end of the block and go to Ben Molls, those folks are friendly and cheaper prices (albeit limited wine selection).

I was so sad when this store changed hands. It's a block away from my house so I still go in a pinch BUT the wine is so overpriced - $3 to $4 more for same bottle anywhere in the neighborhood. Very small selection that's chilled And what is chilled, isn't cold, nor is the beer. I put them in the freezer when I get home until it's drinkable. HUGE disappointment!

Great service, great selection, great prices!! I’m always welcomed by Sue when I walk in. She keeps everything stocked and has a good selection of snacks as well!

Always such a pleasant experience at Virginia market with Sue who makes sure the goods are in stock and serves with a smile!!! A must stop for your alcohol needs.

Woah. I bought a bottle of Rowan's Creek bourbon for a birthday gift at this story and then saw that same bottle for $42 at another liquor store a few blocks away. That's a pretty outrageous mark up. I wouldn't buy here again.

Virginia Market is a quaint little bodega with ice cold beverages, domestic and imported beers, chilled and at room temperature plus a nice selection of red and white wines from around the world. They also carry a wide assortment of low to high end liquors from absinthe to vodka. The woman behind the counter is friendly, timid and quiet. My quess is she doesn’t order or drink the products. She keeps the store very clean and locals love this great find.

Came here on Sunday and there was absolutely no customer service! The woman at the register just stared at me and my friends. It was a weird and awkward experience. I truly felt racially profiled. We left and went to another liquor store due to the uncomfortable experience. I was absolutely disgusted and cannot patronize an establishment where such behaviors are displayed!

They have a great wine and craft beer selection, as well as a good liquor variety. High prices but worth it for what you’re getting!

They sell aviation gin. Nough said. The employee was friendly. 4 stars because the selection is on the limited side. However the fact you can grab the liquor yourself (in DC) is a plus

This is our local around-the-corner stop for wine and beer. The owners are very friendly and even started carrying a beer that I tried on vacation and loved - awesome place!

Their wine is definitely on the higher end of the price range for a liquor store in DC, but they have a great selection of liquor, beer, and wine. The folks who work here are super friendly, and they have a nice little higher end snack selection too. I’m happy to live so close to it!
