This branch really sucks. Made an appointment to get new glasses, arrived and the door was locked. Employee came from back office and turned on the lights. Now I’m picking up the glasses and the store is closed and the lights are off again with no notice on a Monday afternoon. It’s impossible to speak any real person on their customer service line or chat. I’ve waiting here for an hour and no one showed up to take care of the store. What’s going on here?

I honestly don’t know what happened to visionworks, but this is the worst customer experience I have had ever. I came in for appointment over a month ago. I was running a few minutes late so I tried to call my local store at which the appointment was scheduled. There was no way to navigate through the maze of automated prompts and hold signals to talk with a live person. I ultimately arrived 5-10 minutes late. This was not a problem because they were running over an hour behind. I was at the location for over two hours to receive a basic vision appointment and to order glasses/contacts. I did ultimately order glasses and contacts. I was told the contacts would be mailed to me in about 10 days and the glasses would be ready for pick up in about 5 business days. To this day visionworks online system has no idea where my contacts or glasses are. I did in fact receive my contacts in the mail after about two weeks, but according to the website they are still delayed. I never received a notification that my glasses were ready for pick-up. I tried to check my order status online several times and I was continually told my glasses would be delayed indefinitely. I called customer service multiple times and was never connected with a live person. Whenever I tried to submit a claim through visionworks online AI, the system would lead me in circles. My awful experience was not due to the people working in store, who were very polite and helpful. My terrible experience was directly the result of awful corporate management and customer service policies. I don’t typically leave reviews, but I want to save others from the absolute waste of time I experienced. DO NOT USE Visionworks (even if it is covered by your insurance). Go literally anywhere else for a better experience.

Margie at vision works is the ideal employee. I stepped on my glasses and mangled them. Although the store was not open, Margie opened up, worked of quite a while, repaired my glasses and returned them to me like new. This is the kind of employee I would hire without question. She was polite, kind, very competent, and did not stop until she was able to repair them. Since I was on vacation visiting my sons in DC, I am very grateful. Five stars is not enough. Thank you Margie.

Visited the store two days in a row to purchase replacement glasses originally purchased at this location. Fully explained what I needed. Brought the glasses that needed replacing, asked for the exact same glasses. Had to come back today because they upgraded their system and my prior purchase did not show. I had to bring back a RX for what I wanted. Analie was NOT helpful either day. First she did not tell me they no longer carried the glasses. Found out on the second visit after bringing back the RX. Asked her if another location had them in stock. She started looking on the computer, then stopped and said, no there was no way to check another store. Two days of wasted time and NO customer service.

For two weeks they harassed me with text messages and emails reminding ne of my appointment, including the verybdate of it. When I arrived, the only clerk told me that central office had cancelled some appointments, ibcluding mine. I have been 40 minutes waiting for a reschedule, but the poor one clerk cannot manage the amount of customers. Horrible experience, and I am still waiting.

i have been harassed for 2 weeks with appointment rrminders, including the very morning of the date. when I arrived to the store, the one available clerk informed me that my appointment had been cancelled. I had to wait more than one hour to obtain a new appointment in a different location. i am still waiting. Stay away.

Made an appointment only for them to cancel and reschedule, only for them to reschedule AGAIN. They then tried to reschedule me a 3rd time. The excuse every time was they did not have a doctor available. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Maybe my review of the place will change when I’m actually seen by the optometrist… first appointment schedule was cancelled an hour before because I did not confirm with the front desk. They never called or sent a confirmation text. Today, I went in for my scheduled and confirmed appointment. Got turned away because the optometrist wasn’t in. Would’ve been nice to get a voicemail or message letting me know that before commuting in to be seen.

Did not offer me the add-ons to my glasses (such as transition lenses). I’ll be honest, I haven’t bought glasses that often, but I always tell them to add everything and it’s been fine…until here. Shops elsewhere. Slow and careless customer service.

I went in for an eye exam, and ended up spending 2 hours of my day there to have them reschedule due to IT issues. I came back a couple days late and ended up waiting for almost an hour. By the time they saw me I had to rush out the door without buying glasses. Total visit time 90 minutes. The employees are nice but there needs to be some major process improvement before I return.

Customer service was polite and everyone was patient with me. The process and procedures were explained to me for every step. Vision works associates made sure I felt seen and heard. It was a pleasant experience every step of the way.

Visionworks is a great store! The costumer service is extremely friendly and helpful. They will help you fit your glasses at no extra charge. I recommend buying glasses there.

It’s very sad that because I had VSP insurance I had to contact vision works G street.It was total waste of time.If you think you value more about your time then go somewhere else. These people wasted my time, put me on hold forever just to tell me my copay. Initially the lady was very reluctant to share information on phone, she was like you have to visit the store so it’s easy for us to do the billing. Wait!! Why and how are you so sure that I want to do business with you ? when I clearly told her I am calling you just to know my benefits and you are associated with VSP. I have another provider. Still they won’t help.Moral is do not go to them it’s waste of time. They do not have quality products or designer frames.Their benefits are not the best.
