About Warner Theatre
The Warner Theatre is a historic venue located in downtown DC’s Penn Quarter Arts District. Built in 1924, it first hosted vaudeville and silent movies, then adapted for Cinerama movies in the 1950s. After extensive renovations in 1989, it reopened in 1992 with a gala featuring Frank Sinatra and Shirley MacLaine. Today, it hosts a variety of events, including concerts, theater, dance, and TV presentations, attracting both national and international artists. The venue is known for its beautiful decor and grand atmosphere. However, some find the seating and narrow settings a bit tight for modern audiences who prefer space to stand and dance. Parking can be challenging, with no attendants to assist. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, though experiences with event staff vary. The theater is a popular spot for church services, shows, and live performances, offering a large, versatile space that continues to serve as a vibrant hub for entertainment in the city.

What a great space for live music. My seats were close to the back but I still felt super close to the stage!
