I myself is doing fine since I moved into Washington Apartments so far so good I’m at peace with myself and I love my apartment. The stores are close, bus line Metro line is very convenient I’m living my best life thanks management for letting me be a part of the community. Cheryl Taylor

This place is awful with awful people. My girlfriend moved out because of a shooting right next door. They charged an extra month rent and never gave the money back. These people are horrible do not move here

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The worst issue was having neighbors that would party till 4-6 am. I had to call the police most nights for noise complaints. The Washington Apartments Staff also are super unhelpful, when I addressed this issue of noise complaints they don't keep 1) security past midnight and 2) surveillance within the indoor hallways. We even had to be evacuated one *extremely* early morning because these party people unleashed a can of pepper spray. I would also say this is no quiet area of D.C., children scream and slam doors everywhere and there are gunshots often. Dead mice and roaches would be found in the apartment itself. Also a ton of loitering out on the entrance of some questionable persons.Long story short, do not live here.

There is so much to say so I will be brief in saying I would never recommend this property to anyone. To name a few things I experienced during my lease; people being maced in the hallway at 4 AM, parties in the building going until 10 AM, gunshots right outside the building, roaches and mice found in the unit, broken windows for months, and unhelpful management when serious issues arise. Please do not move here.

Seems nice at first but is not worth the headaches. We sent in several service requests, some were never followed up on. We have had a continuous problem with roaches, mice, and other bugs that was also dealt with poorly and incompletely. Lots of crime in the area around the apartment and the courtyard gate is consistently broken/doesn’t lock making it a pointless security feature. There is a gated parking lot but many times the gate has broken and been left open leading to public cars taking up spaces. Laundry machines/dryers work poorly and have flooded/broken multiple times in less than 1 year that we have lived here.

I've lived here for two years. Units are not worth the price. Office staff is dismissive and rude. The parking lot is often full of cars from outside because the gate doesn't lock. Packages are stolen often and there are nonresidents sleeping in the hallways and staircases on a regular basis. Additionally, last summer the bike rack was blown up by fireworks and then the building removed ALL bikes without any notice.

My experience at this property have been a good experience the maintenance staff that keeps the grounds clean do an excellent job and also with keeping the inside of the buildings clean the staff that works in the leasing office can be a little more friendly except the receptionist he is always friendly and professional with making sure all yours needs are met. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings

If you are looking for a great rental property in a walkable neighborhood with professional staff and want to live amongst other like-minded professionals in the District, this is not the place for you. The value of this property has declined significantly since some of the best in the rental office suddenly left without notice in 2021. Loitering, drug use, destruction of property, theft, and those who loudly proclaim, "This is the ghetto," while partying in the hallway at all hours of the night have taken over. There is no security whatsoever. Fires were started in the parking lot on July 4th by fireworks. Non-residents are found sleeping in the laundry rooms. The building intercom systems have been ripped off the doors several times. But yet the rent continues to rise while the desirability leans towards those who are clearly not paying money out of their own pockets to live here. When my lease is up, I'm gone which is clearly what their plan is.
