Scored these massive sub on sale for 10 bucks!! It feeds 2 and you’re so full afterwards you won’t spend as much grocery shopping.

My sister finally took me here! I've heard so much about this grocery store. I love to cook, so it's always fun exploring different grocery stores that we don't have in California. I don't think anything will measure up to HEB in Texas, but it's good to check out nevertheless. :)This place is clean, new and definitely tailors to people who don't have a lot of time to cook. Lots of prepared food, and just from what I've tasted like their crab cakes (very reasonably priced at $7 for a huge one), and small tray of lobster Mac and cheese for $28, their food is better than Whole Foods. They had different size trays of charcuterie boards as well. It was right before NYE, so lots of choices for entertaining. I would have loved to grab a sandwich and walk up to the International Baccalaureate grounds and sit by the enormous Christmas tree up on street level. It was such a nice day when we went.Prices are pretty good, but I wasn't able to find a few things that I needed. Had to go to Safeway for that. 18 count eggs were less than $3!!! Omg I'd shop here all the time. Parking is easy and they do validate. My sister lives about 15 minutes from here and my favorite DC bakery is a block away, so I will have my sister take me back here next time I visit DC.

Bought a Duck Breast from the Meat Department, and the meat smelled weird (sour). When I took it back, the Manager made it seem like I was the problem...but I went ahead and exchanged it anyway, and when I got home with the new duck breast that was sour as well.....maybe they're better now... everything else in the store is amazing to be honest, BUT the Meat Department.

The creme brûlée cheesecake was very good, but it is a very, very small slice. The gingerbread cake may be the most moist cake I've ever eaten. It is worth it! However, it has too much icing, which overtakes and mutes the gingerbread flavor. That being said, don't skip it! Make sure you get it!!

I like Wegman’s for the most part. I shop the Wegman’s brand, which is very good and in some cases better than US national brands. The big name brands are pretty expensive everywhere, and this grocery store is included. The warehouse shelving doesn’t add to a great shopping experience. But the excellent pre-made meals make it a top choice for the DC area.

There is exactly one reason to shop at this Wegmans: you can buy liquor without making a separate stop at the liquor store. The staff are also friendly and knowledgeable. Other than that, it’s giant food quality at whole foods prices. And be prepared for your validation not to work.

I shopped in Wegmans for the 2nd time on Friday 11/17/23 which I had 2 transactions. There were problems with my bankcard, but after Robert one of the managers suspended the sale, the customer service Associate Cathy rering the sale, when she rung, the sale she asked me to use my debt card that was active, not only did I pay for the items I had, she kept my receipt. I was very disappointed with the service I got. When I got to my resident I all my food I purchased was taken off, and return with the money I gave her on my charge card. I had to return back to the store today to get my money refunded not the way I was expecting to receive, but to wait much longer during the holiday week to get a refund. I was not satisfied at all. I will not be returning never again, I recommend if any customer experience the problem I got don't waste your time coming here to shop its not worth it.

Why would anyone give this place one star is beyond me. Yes most of it's food is expensive but it was meant to be upscale. What I do appreciate about Wegmans, (other than the three isles of alcohol you can barely find anywhere else), are the premium meats and specific ready to eat foods. Pro tips:11. I usually get breakfast sausage patties here (Wegmans brand is very yummy and affordable). Also Like to by the thin cut Korean style short rib, perfect over a flame at home, reasonably priced usually around $11.99 a pound and very very high quality melt in your mouth beef. 2. Cookies are overpriced but their fresh made sandwich cookies and also their cheese cake is super super yummy 9.5 stars. Still cheaper than any restaurant.3. $4 dollar pizza by the slice is awesome and delicious, hard to beat that in NW DC unless you want to ingest the mystery food at McDonalds. 4. Highest quality beef roasts when available, seems only a few times a year but marbling is off the charts and reasonably priced. I start mine in the smoker and finish in the oven. Slice and freeze extra slices for later, family favorite.5. If you have not tried their triple crème rich flavored Wegmans soft cheese you are missing out. Also their sliced pepperoni is amazing. I tend to have cheese and crackers when I'm stuck in morning meetings and this is my go to. Also side note: the Wegmans brand rosemary wheat crackers are the best with this. I like to pair with a double espresso.Long story short, yes Wegmans is expensive, but if you take some time you will find great deals and don't skip on trying their brand name stuff.

I made my first and last visit to this store. Prices are higher than Giant. I was there on a very unbusy time and while going down the meat aisle, a customer with a large shopping cart and myself with a small cart were not able to pass each other -- poor layout. Then after I had validated the card for the garage I went to leave and the machine said "unrecognizable card" -- pushing call button, no one responded so I had to pay $8 to get out of the garage. Glad it was a wasn't a busy time or others would have been backed up behind me.

So disappointed. We all had high hopes in the neighborhood but something’s off. Layout weird. Lots of staff standing around or doing nothing. Wife bought some rotten baby back ribs today that had a rank smell and ruined our party. Not the same standards as other locations maybe. I’ll stick to TJs

First time visiting this location. Spent the past 10+ yrs living down the road from the flagship store in Rochester NY, so it was nice to get the same shopping experience and selection of products and services. In fact during this visit I would say that the amount of activity with customer engagement hasn't been seen since pre-pandemic. We had great service from our cashier and I was pleasantly surprised that parking validation was included. I do wish this store was closer to a Metro stop.

I was amazed that this store is rated so poorly. I like it. Yeah, it's expensive, but hey it's DC. The variety and quality are very good, I would say a step above Whole Foods. I don't think that I would shop here regularly for staples and such, but it's great for a quick pickup meal. Store is pretty big, airy, and brightly lit. Parking is abundant and validated. I haven't had that many interactions with the staff, but interestingly other customers have been quite friendly and helpful.

If you go there before 9AM you're not going to get much. They say they open at 6AM but I've been there at 8 and they're still stocking/haven't put everything out. Or the staff isn't prepared for the day, when they've allegedly been open for 2 hours. TBH I'd go to Whole Foods on Florida Ave first if you have to go early in the morning because they're usually better prepared for the day. But going in the afternoon it's better!

There are no words to describe the shopping experience at Wegmans. Everything is fresh, the staff is very attentive and as far as pricing, they are pretty much on par with all grocery stores. The meat and fish department is the best in town.
