My experience at the Walgreens Pharmacy in Washington DC was exceptional, largely due to the efforts of Hayder and Amon. Their proficiency in swiftly transferring my prescription from Miami to Washington DC was impressive. They not only expedited the transfer process but also were incredibly helpful with the utilization of the GoodRx coupon, ensuring I received the best possible price. Their professional and attentive service significantly enhanced my experience. This Walgreens Pharmacy, particularly Hayder and Amon, are highly recommended for their top-notch customer assistance and efficiency.

Kenneth C. at this location is fantastic! He was so incredibly helpful when locating my photo order and brings the level of service to a whole new degree. Runs a great store!

Not sure happened, but over the last three years the pharmacy at this location has gone from good to terrible. Appointments for vaccinations is pointless, there is still a very long wait. Trying to pickup prescriptions during this time can take more than 20 minutes. Recently I had a prescription that needed a prior approval by insurance company and doctor. Trying to get this done at 5 pm on a Friday was impossible. When I tried to pay for it myself, Walgreens couldn't do it. They said they would get with their IT department and call when they had it fixed. That took a week. The only thing saving this location from a one or zero star is that the rest of the store is good.

This Walgreens on U Street is convenient, large, and well organized. I find the prices here to be slightly better than surrounding Walgreens, and would recommend this as a spot to stop if you needing to quickly pick something up and are in the Howard University area. Pros: - Well organized and stocked: I was able to find everything that I needed here pretty easily. It seems to be a pretty big location, and well stocked with many products. The aisles are neatly organized, as well. - Selection: This Walgreens features basic over the counter medicines, snack, drinks, and some DC memorabilia-- hats, T-shirts, and mugs. - Friendly service: Overall friendly service here both at the pharmacy and at the front desk. They are quick to help if you need assistance unlocking an item. - Pharmacy: This pharmacy is well-stocked. In certain cases, I have gone to other Walgreens locations, and they have. not had my prescription in stock, and have referred me to this location. Additional: There is an ATM on sight, which is helpful if you need to conveniently grab some cash! Cons: No cons noted here, this is a good Walgreens in a convenient area, and I have had consistently good experiences shopping here.

Not the best customer service and to add insult to injury asked if I could print a photo and before I could finish my sentence I was told it's not working. No other options or solutions just NO. If I could give a half star I would do that.

After calling and waiting a whole day at the pharmacy, I was put on hold for 50 minutes and hung up twice before the store close. The next day, I went to pick my prescription and spoke with the supervisor, Kevin, just to be informed that it's COVID and I should not expect anything different. He didn't even attempt to say that he and his staff would try and do better. When I told him that he would potentially lose business this way, he shrugged his shoulder at me. WOW! What kind of customer relation course did these people take?

I went in for my booster vaccine today and had an awesome experience. I'm transgender, and everything was scheduled under my legal name (not the name I go by). The pharmacist was incredibly helpful and changed my records in their system to the name I go by. Outing myself as trans in a medical setting is often uncomfortable as I can legally be refused service upon disclosing that I'm trans. The pharmacist updated my vaccine card to reflect my name and provided me with quality care. I'm glad this Walgreens was able to give me with both a booster as well as gender affirming care. I wish I remembered the name of the pharmacist but she was fantastic. All love :)

As already stated by another review, the CVS down the street is basically a dump. However, this Walgreens is also a dump. It's just less of a dump. A cleaner, newer dump. Four years ago, this location was an immaculate, fully-stocked 24 hour Rite Aid. It's now deteriorated to its current condition. Obvs not open 24 hours anymore. In fact, the stores hours seem to be a range of unpredictable, fluctuating hours. GOOD LUCK finding a Diet Coke or DDP. Candy section is disappointingly void of the good candy we all want (the Rite Aid had amazing candy selection). Oh, and if there is an older short woman behind the cash register and there's more than one person in line, abandon your items and get an Uber to ANY other location. You'll get there and pay for your items faster than waiting for the astoundingly glacial pace of this check-out lady.

Convenient, clean, and staff is pretty helpful. This Rite Aid recently remodeled and rebranded as Walgreens.
