They have the best croissants, I walk down there every weekend to get them in the mourning.

As many in the East Passyunk Crossing community know, the owners of Artisan Boulanger Patissier have been suffering health issues since at least 2020. As a result, the café has gone through periods of closures and inconsistent hours. That is to say the owners have also opened a new location in Media, PA. Prior to 2020, I would recommend Artisan Boulanger to everyone I knew. Their croissant sandwiches, incredible; their tofu bahn mi, out of this world. Since 2021, as their Passyunk location slowly reopened and their Media location opened anew, the quality of their food and sandwiches has dramatically decreased. Their service, not nearly as good or special as it once was. Health issues and expansion withstanding, I really hope Artisan Boulanger Patissier can come back in full swing. Unfortunately, I fear its best years are far behind them.

Best tofu banh mi ever. Maybe it's the perfect baguette but I think it's what ever is in the secret sauce. Huge portion, worth $9 and their baguettes are very affordable. Happy to have this local gem reopened and hopefully in good health.

I could not wait for this spot to re open , got a Bahn Mi today & now I am so bummed out. Price went up $2.50, sandwich was much smaller & they put next to nothing in it! Also, my cynical side has me questioning how they opened a new spot in Media while this spot was closed & a Go Fund Me page collected over $100,000 for them. This place was my weekly favorite by the way so I am writing this review with a heavy heart Tsk Tsk ABP

This is probably the best bakery in Philly. Their bread in my view bears Sarcone's. Quirky hours though. In fact, Google is showing it "temporarily closed." Anyone can confirm?

I have had this bank since I was about 18 , and they have always had my back . I had someone attempt to hack into my account just the other day and without skipping a beat , Artisans was able to stop them right in their tracks. I was in such a panic on the phone and they made sure to make me feel secure and that everything will be okay . Thank you so much Artisans !

This spot has one of the best baguettes in the city. There is always a line but never too long and always worth it. Their bread is so flavorful. It is soft in the middle but the crust has a nice chew, which is how I like it. Their croissants are amazing. I prefer the plain but the chocolate is good too. Their beignets are delicious. Cant wait to try their bahn mis. Cash only.

Hoooooly cow - I'm so upset I only discovered this place a few weeks before I moved out of Philly! I could eat one of their egg and cheese croissants every morning for the rest of my life. It is flaky on the outside but buttery soft in the middle and practically melts in your mouth. You cannot beat the price either! It's a simple, delicious, and affordable breakfast. Definitely planning to make a stop here every time I go back to visit Philly. It's just THAT good.

I call this place Ol' Reliable. Why? Consistent quality, tastes amazing! I always get the baguette, almond croissants, and waffles when I visit here. They have FLAKY croissants. The way it was meant to be, crunchy and soft. Not like the bready kind you get at the supermarket or chain coffee stores. The baguette is crusty and chewy. And my sister says the waffles to be the best. Also, the Vietnamese Iced Coffee is great too, strong coffee, sweetened condensed milk - what's not to love? It's fast service if you come PREPARED. It is CASH only, but fret not, if you forget, there's an ATM inside. Highly recommend! Will definitely come back :)

What a hidden gem!!! I discovered Artisan Boulanger from someone's Instagram story and their pastries looked amazing so I had to try for myself. I got the sausage egg and cheese on a croissant and I think it might be the best croissant breakfast sandwich that I've ever had. The croissant was perfect, flakey and incredibly delicious without being super messy and getting everywhere. I know sometimes there's a line here because it's a small shop, but it is definitely worth the wait.

The best bahn mi I have ever experienced in my life! And their croissants turned me into a convert. I mean, I had certainly had croissants before. But they were always just another option on a bakery tray. But these are LEGIT. They also do baguettes which are so good I can eat an entire loaf in a day by myself like the hungry, hungry caterpillar. Every time I walk by the loaf I need another little slice... Dangerous stuff man. Yes, they are only open a few days a week. Yes, it is cash only. Yes, there is sometimes a wait. But if you sleep on this one it's your loss. Fav items: tofu bahn mi, peaches and cream croissant, baguette to take home to keep this party going.

The sausage egg and cheese croissant in the morning is a Godsend. Along with the almond croissant. I made the mistake of getting a sad croissandwich from DD, and felt like I betrayed this establishment. I owe this place an open letter apology for this treason. I also owe my friends, the South Philly Soup Queens an apology. They introduced me to Artisan Boulanger Patissier.
