“I am just starting my journey. I received my box in the mail today and was so thankful. The chemo has dried out my sinuses and has left sores in my nose. The lavender stick in the box was a gift I didn't even realize I needed. It has soothed my sinuses so greatly. The other items in my box are also wonderful. When I'm healed, and my medical bills are paid off, I will be sending donations to this organization. Thank you so very much for this gift box! Sometimes it's the little things that makes the biggest impact!”
“I recently stayed at the Ronald McDonald house in Wilmington Delaware from 04Jan26 thru 16Feb26 while my granddaughter was a patient at Nemours Childrens Hospital ..... I can honestly say that I am completely impressed with the hospitality of this home ... the volunteers are amazing ... kind ... considerate ... thoughtful ... and compassionate .... I have never had a reason to use a service such as this and it was quite surprising. It made a difficult situation easier to handle and took much of the stress off our shoulders ... Thank You Ronald McDonald House ... and thank you to all the volunteers ... you are truly wonderful !!!”
“Great small experience on a large sailing ship on Wilmington. The ride was a bit short and the raising if the sails was way too quick, but it gives you a taste of what the work would have been on these ships years ago. Not ready at all. Glad they are preserving the past.”
“An AMAZING event space! I hosted a bridal/wedding photo shoot on the premises and not only was the staff kind, patient and friendly, but they really worked with me to create what I was envisioning. It was clean, air conditioned, and just overall very pretty and lowkey, which is exactly what I needed. Thank you for everything!”

“PENDLE Hill is historic ( read: a bit funky from a loving califorian perspective)..But you can feel the vibe/ feng shui left by generations of devoted retreatants of diverse denominations. And the current staff is dedicated , hardworking and warm. They create a good foundation for any kind of retreat or group experience. And the grounds too are lovely frequented by many birds. deer etc”

“Very nice long trail. You may have to cross the road a few times if you walk the whole thing and parking is a little inconvenient. The trail is really beautiful though and the path is paved well.”
“I've been going to this event since it started as a small 20 pumpkin display in the Brandywine River museum parking lot. The issue is, it's grown too big. The parking lot line is ridiculous, the walk to get to the place isn't easy for those who have trouble walking, the food vendor lines are long and expensive ( taco people, add more meat to your tacos please!), and the lines to see the pumpkins are slow and sometimes several people deep to see them. Maybe time for the planning committee to seek another possibility, bigger place, etc. It's not safe on that road if there was an emergency and probably a pain for those who live there. It's a fun night but getting too crowded. Kind of like Linvillea got too big in my opinion.”
“Wow! What a cool place. Went there this past Thursday to see JD McPherson and Melissa Carper. Easy parking. Great little venue. Good beer available at very affordable prices. And the snack stand had amazing chocolate bars too!
Would 100% come back for another show.”
“I became a student in January ! My teacher Miss Renata has guided me and given me the tools to motivate me to complete my test and is an amazing teacher. All the staff is great . I will be getting my diploma way sooner then I thought and will be able to walk in graduation with my class in June when I thought I wouldn’t even have the stuff completed until the end of summer. That is all thanks to not only my self but my support people at Delco Literacy including Miss Renata Ms Wazma and Ms Jen ! Thank you all for all you have done to encourage and push me !!!!”
“Awesome place for inexpensive stuff you think you can't find. Bought an interior door for $5 (good condition.) I got a book about Angels for , 50¢ ❤️ their furniture is a little pricey. Sometimes they have free stuff”
“Really have enjoyed learning, becoming a member, and eventually teaching at TLS. Everyone is incredibly kind, encourages artistic expression and development, and their passion stems as much from creating as it does from learning more themselves. Take every class you can!”
“My daughter just finished up her first year and I am very happy with this school. They are very active and attentive. My daughter is delayed and she made massive improvements throughout the year. My son will be starting here as well in the fall and my daughter will be in the same classroom as this year I believe.”
“I love that you get a really good feeling from helping others when you're able to give back. The staff that greeted me and helped me to unload my donations. There actually giving, not selling the items. That is what matters most to me. God wants us to reach back and help somebody along the way. Recommend to anyone who is able to donate gently use, clean clothes, coats, etc. Not only are helping others, your helping yourself as well. Feels Great to help others. Bless those that are there helping all those that are in need ❤️?”
“My mother goes here . Gets free rides to and from from delgo services no charge. She loves it and the people are great and she gets out and gets to be with good people and they have alot of senior trips .”

“It's a very nice place and very friendly and clean place for special needs adults to live and get care and have people take care of them and they have fun activities for the special needs adults who live there.”
“Can't say enough about this wonderful organization. When we first moved here, we had no idea what to expect. We needed to discover the issues with the neighborhood and get a feel for Wilmington since we had just moved and how to get a feel for the city again and it's nice that someone has your back here. Saint Francis. As for their programs, pretty simple. After you finish your program, you'll get phone calls at various points into it. 7 steroid pills starting all the way to ending those problems. They contact you after a few days. Then a few weeks. Then 1 month. These people care about the health and safety of any one who walks through the doors. This hospital has a lot of people willing to help you. If only you open up to do.”
“I thoroughly believe in upcycling everything that's why I shop at Goodwill stores. I have found wonderful coats here for under $20... well made good label items. I also buy my jeans here because they've been washed so many times if they fit in the store they will definitely fit once I bring them home. Also a great place for kids toys bring them home and wash them up and let them beat them up you didn't have to pay full price. Same thing with kids clothes. I also still like to own my entertainment so I get CDs records and other items here. Just check for scratches before you leave it's not the store's job to check it's yours.”

“Such a cute fair! I was pleasantly surprised. Parking was easy, there were plenty of food trucks and vendors, the live music was right next to beer tent which was awesome. Everything was well spread out so you weren’t bumping into people while waiting for your ice cream. Just a picture perfect park, absolutely glad to have it back after some rainy years!”
“You guys this place is truly remarkable! The women who oversee the youth program are absolutely devine! My daughter had had a blast this summer.I hate to see this place go.”
“Pros:
- Great book selection, especially for kids
- Decent toy selection
- Adult clothes are well-organized
- Prices are reasonable
- Several fitting rooms
Cons:
- Baby/kids clothing is terribly sorted. 6 month clothes next to 4T next to 18 months, etc.
- Sometimes other customers can be off-putting. There was a argument which led to a couple go outside and scream at each other so loudly it was easy to hear inside. No workers even reacted to this, so I'm guessing it's not an uncommon occurrence.”
