“The only negative I can think of is that I didn't find them sooner, so I could have taken my other two furbabies there too. If I could give them 100 stars, I would find 500 more to give.
The team at CAVA...where do I begin? Phenomenally patient and compassionate. Knowledgeable and very willing to explain everything in a way that is understandable. I am a questions queen, especially when it comes to my furbabies, my loves and they professionally, patiently, and respectfully answer every last one of them. (A couple times, I went in with notes to remember all my questions. They may have giggled, though probably not, but they stood there answering each one)
I love that I walk into their office and I know they are going to take such good care of all of us. When they wrote on their bios that they love their patients....those aren't just words--every one of their actions demonstrates exactly that. Even the spicy kitties who have alllllll the opinions.”

“Earlier this year, we noticed that our 10 year old chocolate lab was experiencing some issues with her eye. When we brought her in for her annual physical, Dr. Mauro correctly identified something that they don’t often see- a specific kind of tumor behind her left eye. She referred us to Blue Pearl for a formal diagnosis, and while the dr we saw at Blue Pearl was Knowledgeable, kind and compassionate when they told us the only option was to remove the eye, their estimate to do the surgery was just under $6,000. The staff at BayAnimal has always been wonderful with Livvie, so we went back to them to see if they would do the surgery( even the dr at Blue Pearl said she would be completely comfortable with Livvie having an enucleation at BayAnimal) . They were amazing throughout the entire process. We were able to get an appointment within a week to have the eye removed, and they communicated with us during the week to see how Livvie was and gave us clear instructions for the day of surgery, and then for two weeks post surgery. Dr. Mauro was compassionate towards both Livvie and us, addressing and acknowledging the emotions that go along with this surgery. By the time surgery rolled around, we were confident that it was the right decision for our 10 yr old best friend, and that she wouldn’t receive better care anywhere else…and we were right. Thanks to Dr Mauro and the staff at Bayanimal for helping Livvie live her best life-minus one eye and saving us about $4,000…which we’ve already spent on recovery treats for our girl. We couldn’t be more grateful!”
