It was my 1st time donating blood! Everyone @ the blood bank made me feel so welcomed & warm so as I walked thru the door! I felt like I was home! I was greeted wit warm & smily faces! Lotta great refreshments & great conversation! I ENJOYED my experience!

From Blood Bank Of Delmarva
The Blood Bank of Delaware, as it was then known, was founded in 1954 as a non-profit, community-based blood center providing blood and blood products to hospitals and other organizations. In 1990, the organization merged with Blood Bank of the Eastern Shore to become Blood Bank of Delaware/Eastern Shore. In 2004 the organization changed its name to Blood Bank of Delmarva. Today, BBD serves 1.6 million people in New Castle, Kent and Sussex counties, Del.; Cecil County, Md.; Eastern Shore, Md. and Eastern Shore, Va. BBD is an FDA licensed a member of America’s Blood Centers and accredited by AABB.
