Atlantic Oceanside Dewey is a motel in a fantastic and perfect location, just a block or a two-minute walk to the beach. It offers easy access and is within walking distance to restaurants, stores, lots of places to eat and drink, and nearby activities. The spot is super close for getting to destinations. The rooms are reasonably updated, comfortable, and clean when you arrive, with some described as wonderful, especially for a dog-friendly hotel. However, the grounds are not the cleanest, with notes of pretty dirty floors and sand in the bathroom. Some rooms had issues like a chest of drawers falling out, no hair dryer, no real cable TV, and only coffee available in the office. The bathrooms and pools are a bit beat up, with a very small pool and no towels provided for it. There is no maid service. A significant safety concern mentioned was a room door without an additional security lock. The hotel is fair priced with decent prices, particularly in the off-season. The staff was very friendly. Guests should be aware it is across the street from a music venue or club with loud, pounding music at night, though it stops around 11:30 PM; the hotel offers earplugs. Despite some issues, many guests were pretty happy overall and would definitely recommend it for the location and value.
