Atlantic is located in the most perfect spot to get-together your destinations :)
It is comfortable and fair priced :)... just a two minute walk to the beach.... would definitely recommend for anyone looking for decent prices i. The off season

Every time I have gone to Dewey Beach, DE, I have looked forward to staying at Beach House Dewey. This year, I ended up at Atlantic Oceanside Dewey. The room wasn't ready to almost 3:00 pm. The room was small, the TV and Wi-Fi were sub-standard and the microwave was dirty inside. If I hadn't already been so tired, I would have demanded my money back. Rethink staying at Atlantic Oceanside Dewey; not worth the effort.
Rooms: The rooms at this "renovated" motel were dank, dingy and out of touch. There was no way I was going to walk barefoot on the floor. I asked for another pillow due to my neck injury and I never received it.

Do not come here if you want to sleep, the rooms are unbelievably loud and they would not give us rooms in the inner courtyard despite multiple requests. Perfect if you are going to party all night terrible if you want to rest after the beach.

Let's be honest you're paying for the location and that's about it. Grounds are not the cleanest and no maid service, fyi. Rooms are reasonably updated and clean when you arrive. Bathrooms and pools are a bit beat up, but chances are you're just walking a block to the beach anyway.

We took our first family trip this past weekend. We have never been to Dewey Beach. We booked this hotel because of the pool and easy access to the beach. The staff was very friendly. Our room did not have an additional security lock, which was concerning as our youngest is autistic and she elopes. My husband was able to move the table and chairs to block the door in case she tried to open it. Giving the room a 3⭐️ rating as the lock is a big safety issue, we also felt that the floors were pretty dirty. I wish we would have known about the music venue across the street. My children are usually light sleepers and I am shocked they slept through the music, it was very loud. However it stopped around 11:30 and was pretty quiet for the rest of the night. Just a heads up for anyone planning to stay here with kids, make sure you pack your sound machine! We did have an issue with some intoxicated guests the second night, but that isn’t the fault of the hotel. Overall we were pretty happy with our stay.
Nearby activities: We stayed at the hotel and beach most of our visit. Lots of places to eat, grab ice cream, etc. within walking distance.
Walkability: The beach was a block away.

Wonderful room for a dog-friendly hotel. We were unable to get extra pillows when we asked. The pool is very small. It is across the street from a club that had pounding music one night. The hotel offers earplugs for these nights. No towels for the pool.
Walkability: Easy to walk to all the restaurants and the beach in Dewey.

Floors dirty not just with sand in bathroom. Wiped with swiffer twice, black dirt. Smoke detector hanging by wires, sliding door hits the detector. No hair dryer, went to office to get one none avaible.Ceiling above bed near ac either dust or black mold. No tissues in room. No real cable TV, bring your own services or Pluto for older news/ weather. Coffee in office only not in rooms.Chest of draws bottoms falling out.
Other than those issues nice place one block to ocean.

We decided to take a very spontaneous trip from Pittsburgh and planned on the way with our kids and pup with us. Very pleased with this place being able to accommodate us at last minute and then when the AC stopped working probably because it was 93 outside. But Matt at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure to help us trying to fix it and when he couldn't he quickly switched our room. Friday night did get a little rowdy and noisy outside, but that's par for the course you're at the beach But once inside our room our kids still slept right through the night. Very happy that the walk to the beach was short and easy for our little ones to walk themselves. Definitely will be back to visit!
PS: Matt needs a raise! He was awesome!
Rooms: Some of the rooms could be a little updated in areas but all in all they were exceptionally clean and the beds were very comfortable
Nearby activities: Lots of shops, restaurants, and even a mini golf nearby
Safety: Everyone who worked there and stayed there seemed extremely nice and looked out for each other
Walkability: Short easy walk to the beach

Change of ownership and it seems he’s trying to get his ROI in the first year. No updates made in the last 3 years but prices keep going up. A 1 star hotel for $550 a night.

Property under corporate management after being family owned for more than 25 years.
The transition was tough for me . Rob just added that personal “FAMILY” touch!
Well, after booking our room 5 TIMES since March, the new owners “ BLOCK PARTY” have superseded ALL of my expectations! From adjusting the room price to current market rate to renovating the property in time for the 2023 vacation season, they will have the PARTY ON for my annual birthday vacation 🎉!!
Nearby activities: Once you park your car, everything you ever needed on the family vacation is just foot steps away from the moment you arrive!
Walkability: Sunrise, sunset, breakfast, lunch, dinner you never have to return to the aggravation of vacation driving.
