Overall really liked the property! Great staff, kind, courteous, amenable to needs of guest! Like the convenience of pool & gym & free garage parking on property and that you can park on the level that your room is on. Beds were comfortable although too low to the floor for me. Room & bathrooms were clean! Only down side but not under property's control is people walking down the street at 2-3:00 am being loud, screaming or laughing that startled me awake several times. Maybe not so bad on higher floors. Had a great time, will definitely stay again!

I stayed at this hotel in 2010 timeframe and it was great. Everything was fresh and clean and they offered breakfast. I came back in 2020 or 2021(can't remember) and the rooms were moldy. They smelled like mildew. I looked at a few rooms, and eventually switched to one where everything was working and the smell wasn't as bad. No services. No breakfast. Dirty room. I get the feeling this hotel changed ownership or management between 2010 and 2020. It went from a beautiful, bright, clean hotel, to a dump.

Had an amazing experience at the Gold Leaf Hotel. Staff was extremely kind and accommodating. Rooms were perfect and equipped with a mini fridge and a microwave. Location is 10/10 and extremely close to the beach. I do not have enough good things to say about this hotel and their staff! We will be back!

Good deal for the price, right in the middle of Dewey. Staff was great and the room was clean, though a bit run down. The pool was unusable as it was so cloudy you couldn't see the bottom, parking is a bit odd as well.

The desk people are very friendly and nice. The house keepers are so lovely, friendly and nice. The beds are clean and comfortable. Towels are a little on the smaller size but when I requested extra, I received them every day of our stay.It is an older hotel (motel like). Our room was very clean. The frig and frig were spotless too. The service person had to look at the frig when we first arrived. I informed the nice checking woman at the desk that it was not cold. The service person was at our room within 5 min and got the frig working. We had no problems with it following.
My only problems were 3.
The pool was very cloudy, (too much free cholrine) that we didn't use it; our shower curtain was ripped; and the door to our hallway (we were on 1st floor by door) stuck. Everything someone opened it, our door rattled.
I would stay here again (hoping the pool was clearer). We spent our time at the beach (we had beautiful weather) anyway.
This trip was a last minute decision to visit Dewey.

Enjoyed our stay! The room was huge, had a table to eat at, and French doors. Super super close to the beach. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and 24 hour front desk. Free parking but the parking garage is small. Only negatives were the security lock was broken and the card to the rooms get stripped if they got too close to your phone or keys.

Room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
I do have to say, I think the bed was absolutely one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in while staying away from home.
Overall, it was a comfortable and welcoming room. Housekeeping staff were attentive and they clearly take pride in their work.
If I'm going to be picky, the pillows were not nearly as comfortable as the bed itself, and there were a couple of stains on the carpet. But that's being really picky.
Overall this was a really nice and very comfortable stay.

Great price, but I stayed here one night in Room 109 with the heat on and everyone got really sick afterwards, with an itchy throat, which happens when I'm exposed to black mold. So I think they must have some sort of mold in their vents system.

Stayed here a few nights, the hotel could use an update but the staff is friendly and helpful, close to the beach. The room, bedding and towels are clean. The best part was the bed..you dont want to get out. I do agree about people who arrive and are loud and have no respect for others who are TRYING to rest!!

Great hotel from the front desk staff to the rooms everything was perfect the rooms are beautiful clean the staff is very nice and friendly best hotel I have been to definitely coming back I am editing my review because after I came back a couple times and even stayed five days the house keeping staff lied on me and my husband I have a service dog and we got a puppy while we were in Delaware for my husband because he's going to be my husband service dog the staff accused me and my husband of destroying the room saying there was dog poop and pee everywhere they couldn't rent out the room they had pictures that's not true because our dogs go outside and I always make sure the rooms are clean but I won't have no staff there accuse me of destroying a room when it wasn't like that so I won't ever come back the staff lie on the quests the wifi don't work the whole five days we were there and I kept getting charged for my service dog but the manager gives me a refund after I get charged they need to change staff if they are going to accuse guests of stuff when the room was very clean before my husband leave

Location is good. They reserved room 116 for us. Room location was terrible. It’s near the parking garage. Also our A/C was broken and beds are not comfortable.
