After driving for hours on a business trip, and hoping to get some sleep or just relax in the room before a client dinner, i arrived at the hotel at 2:00 pm. Was told check in time was 3:00 pm and that although the had many available rooms that I would have to pay an extra fee to check in early - asked for an accommodation, sorry no; asked to a little human understanding, sorry no. You can sit in the lobby for an hour or you can pay. Decided to stay somewhere else.

My nephew worked at the hotel. They always have bed bugs. I play the triple double diamond machine. I hit the 3 triple diamonds with 6 or 7 people who stopped to watch. Nothing happened. Called for the attendant who said it was a machine malfunction.they manager said he watched the tape but wouldn't let me see it. A man that was watching said they did the same thing to his friend who hit the jackpot. A year later the same thing happened to me. Called it another malfunction. My sister hit a jackpot 2 years ago and everyone started watching and she was told the machine tilted. How do u tilt a machine that's bolted to the floor I had a free room and when I showed up with a reservation I was told it wasn't free and I would have to pay full price or go somewhere else even though I had my flyer with me. Food is disgusting, all the soda machines are always broke so either spend a fortune on a small plastic cup of soda or go thirsty.holidays or promotion days you never hit or even get free spins. Every employee is rude as hell because the owners allow them to be. They have never given me free slot play for my birthday. There's no place there to eat after 10. Dover downs was so much better. Everyone I know have started going to Harrington. They want you to make 15 points to earn $10 free slot play. I lost $8000 dollars last year but they won't see me there this year. They're a joke

The rooms are a bit dated, their offerings inside the casino offer essentially nothing besides gambling. What makes it a resort if there's nothing to do lol. I requested to checkout early because the neighbors next to my room were loud, the shower had hair all inside it, and on top of that there was nothing to enjoy besides slot machines. I requested to checkout early because I was not happy and received the run around from front desk staff for over 3 hours before just giving up and leaving.Rooms: Outdated, 20+ years since the last remodel.Nearby activities: There is no activities.Safety: The area is not safe at all, lots of drug use in the nearby shopping centers also with guests at the hotel.Food & drinks: The restaurants here are horrible except for the one steak house.

This was a quick overnight for us. The customer service was awesome. The older gentlemen was super helpful. The men at concierge were also very helpful. Front desk staff were nice.My biggest issue was the $50.00 fee to check in early. That is completely ridiculous. We have stayed at very nice hotels, and resorts around the world and never experienced this. Vegas does not do this, Atlantic City does not do this. I travel for work often and never once have I had to pay to check in early. If our room is ready when we arrive, they let us in. Period. This place has a prorated early check in fee. Madness. The rooms are really dated and the bath towels are small but it served our needs. The bed and pillows were comfy. Two mini bottles of water were in the frisge. That size was a bit odd to me. I have not seen that anywhere. The steak place was so so. I had the surf and turf. The steak was salty and so was the lobster. My husband's 16oz was meh. The Mac and cheese was ok. The creamed spinach was good. The thick cut bacon was good but it had way too much fat on it. Like half of it was fat so we did not have much of it to enjoy. The crabcake was good, the lollipop lamb chop was good, the French onion soup was fabulous. It was my favorite dish of the night! Our waiter was awesome.Drinks at Sugar factory were good. You can never go wrong there. Customer service was great! We had a good time playing slots and the table games. If we are in the area again, we will likely stay here but I doubt we will make a trip specifically to visit.

I did not stay at the hotel. I can only speak on experience with the hotel staff for a birthday celebration that I attended on last Friday. They were pleasant and accommodating. The bar staff, Ashley and Becky, were very generous with the drinks. We all got some laughs in and I like that they weren't just all business and no fun. Who I am assuming to be the event manager (?) went above and beyond to have her staff search for some crackers. I'm so sorry I forgot your name but THANK YOU, again! The food was good. The bathroom was clean. It was a bit of a walk to the ballroom but the place is HUGE. I do look forward to visiting again and staying on the property.

Had such a fun time at Dover Downs on a Sunday afternoon. The staff there are so helpful and friendly. Although we would have liked to see more in person card games available and more tables open for card games, we still had a fun time playing.

The hotel rooms are decent but the water pressure in the shower is horrible. The gym has limited hours and is pretty lame, including only cardio machines and dumbbells up to 50 pounds, plus the pool is out of order. The ballroom is nice, decent spot for a business conference. Central location with lots of nearby restaurants and shopping.

Lived in the area 50 years. Great selection of slots but everything else is downhill. Bathrooms are terrible, free soda fountains are always out of order, staff used to come around for drinks, it's about as lucky as you can be now. The bar ALWAYS ignores me. It's a very low standard other than slots and tables. We used to go all the time twice a week. Now, even the beggers and unfavorable have arrived in the parking lots.Safety: Parking lots are shady and panhandling way up in last year.

The room was ok, nothing to brag about considering the cost of the room. My complaint while staying in the room was that housekeeping never came to freshen up the room for the two nights during my stay. I'm just glad they left plenty of towels, but I will be staying elsewhere next time I am in town.

Stayed for one night to attend Homecoming at Delstate. The service reeked of racism!!! The room was dirty. Paid for valet, but had to park the car myself. No one was at the front desk to provide new keys when we lost our room key. They do not offer room service but have menus in the rooms - so misleading and deeply disappointing. Complained to Amex Travel - they called on my behalf and the manager (Amanda) hung the phone up on the representative. Worst Stay Ever Award goes to Ballys Dover!

I live 30 minutes away and visit the Casino occasionally. First time staying at the hotel. Had no problems and a wonderful time. Although it would be good if they could give me inside info on winning in the casino:). Everything was good to great and we will do this again. Trackside room was really cool if you are a NASCAR fan, although this was not a race weekend.Rooms: Spacious and clean.Nearby activities: Bunch of chain stores and restaurants. Bombay Hook Natl Wildlife Refuge close by.Safety: Had bikes on a rack on my car in the parking lot for 2 nights. No problems.

We ?, I mean ❤️'d it when it was Dover Downs. We went once a month because they made it worth it. The best little mini vacation. It was like they understood most people had to travel as it's in a small town, and gave people who gambled perks, like rooms and dinner. It's not like we didn't pay for it in reality, but it was nice to feel valued. My SO is military, so as ownership was switching we were selling one house and buying another. No time to get away for a bit. When we got settled and tried to come back they acted like they didn't know us anymore. They'd send the same offers but NEVER have a room for comps when I called to retrieve the offer. We did a day trip played and then tried again the next offer, same thing. This happened at least 5xs. We gave up on Dover. I'm not driving 8 hours round trip for the day, and am not paying for a room. It's the principle. This month they court us by sending a "bonus offer" and since it's my birthday we bite, and decided to try 1 more time.I called 2 weeks in advance and they only had Friday night, no Saturday. We were offered 2 nights *any* night in Oct. The rep made it sound like they were sold out.Fast forward and the next week I called just to see if anything opened up Saturday. This time I was told that a host was needed to approve a room for Saturday. Great, I have one of those. Text my host and was told they're basically saving the last few rooms for high rollers but I could pay 300+. Well, how many rooms were there 2 weeks ago when I booked the Friday? Why did they not say you're welcome to reserve a paid night or contact your host. Just poor communication. Then to add insult to injury the host says your play matters, you haven't been here in a year so it's difficult to comp the Saturday for you when we have 10 rooms or less. Yeah, thanks, we haven't been because of this ma'am, exactly what is happening now.Anyway, we're going Friday. We ought to check in, use our free play, and then spend what we planned on spending there at Harrington. Unless something major changes this is our last trip to Ballys Dover. They ruined everything that made that casino awesome imo.

There is nothing except the slots and a few other gambling tables open. No restaurants or room service. It's pretty when u first come up to the building and the main front foyer , but the rooms werent up to the standards I thought they should have been. Very plain. They don't even have a washer and dryer for us to use while renting a room. It was boring after the first hour of losing on the slots. Which for some reason it seemed like everyone was losing big time the whole time I was there. It wasn't very busy which is a good thingNearby activities: Alot of shopping and nice stores.

The room was okay. The food is overpriced and mediocre at best at all 3 restaurants. Went to Best Odds (formerly Sweet Perks) at 8am which is when it was to be open only to be told by the staff person in an extremely rude tone "I'm not open yet. Shooting for 8:30. I got stuff to do." Rolled her eyes, turned her back to us and went back to sweeping the floor. Never had an experience like that when it was Dover Downs. Bally's had really taken this establishment down hill. Miss the store in the lobby for quick items. Need to allow check in at anytime as long as room is ready. Sad to see one of my favorite places getting ruined like this.

I didn't get a room or eat at any of their restaurants but their casino was nice. Not crowded, and no security at any of their several entrances from what I saw but that could just be because it was the Morning. They have a bunch of slots, table games and Game King poker machines hidden further in.
