I didn't think this little place packed such a big punch. It was not a big factory or anything when I went in but, when I picked up my suit it was better then expected. Everything was crisp and the lines had me excited. I'll be using them for my cleaning from now on. Next time I'll remember pictures.

I first used Capitol in the early '90's at the downtown Dover location. The women at the counter were so rude I go around smelling to avoid them. Then in 2011 I started using the Smyrna location and the service was greatly improved. Fast forward to October, 2023, and I will never, ever, use Captol again. I encountered the rudest, least helpful clerk ever. I suspect the Capitol's competition is paying of this rude woman. Being that repulsive would take too much effort to do it without oay.

Wow. It must be nice to have so much business you can tell a company to go elsewhere. They usually drop off and pick up, but today had an emergency and couldn't. I had a message at 8:46am. I got it at 9 when I got in and ran it down as the message said I could bring it in. What they didn't say was that even though I was there by 9:20, I couldn't get same day. Long story, I got to a Supervisor and after a heated conversation, was told to "go elsewhere before my feelings got hurt." Really? Such absolutely horrible service. The person at the counter was surly as well. I get it - labor is hard to come by, but especially after I make the effort to bring something in myself, you can do your part and get me the same day service I need. In the end, they agreed, but not worth the fight. I'll take my business elsewhere. Seems all reviews here pretty muchg echo their horrible service.

I CAN NOT EXPRESS ENOUGH HOW THIS COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF. DO NOT BRING YOUR CLOTHES HERE. Overcharged - and what can you do other than leave your clothes there and not pay? If I didn't have a trip coming up I probably should have and would have done that. The workers at the Dover location ARE SO RUDE. Also - The ceiling is leaking and leaked on me while picking up my WEDDING DRESS, no heat on, all power out in the back where the clothes were. I can not even believe I dropped my wedding dress off here. The place is not even clean. Floors are filthy- The workers at the Smyrna location TRY TO RIP YOU OFF AND SAY THAT they charge based off the width of a dress???? Huh? I will be calling the better business bureau on this company. I will never be back. I hope you wont either.

Excellent service, have occasionally had clothes returned poorly cleaned, but they have always taken them back and returned them in good condition.

Two items dropped off- noticed upon pick-up one item looked not cleaned at all based on the evidence of the hem on pants. Needed the pants for an important event but they would not release them to me and insisted they do a " Re-do". At that point I would not have the pants back in time for the event. I was willing to try cleaning them myself since they were "not dry-clean only". They would NOT release my pants or the jacket ( that was done) until the " Re-do" was accomplished. I offered to pay for just the jacket and try washing the pants at home. They refused! I felt like my items were being held "hostage" ! Their reason ...." the two items were on ONE ticket and couldn't be split up"...and employee said only the manager can do this decision . Later I spoke with the manager who said same-can't be split up ! No common sense , and not Customer -Oriented. If you do use them, try ticketing each item separately ! Cause if they screw up , they will keep your WHOLE order together until it's convenient for them, not you the customer. Not imoressed.

I stopped in to pick a dry cleaned coat, and presented a 15% off coupon. They lady said that I had to present it when I bought in the coat, not after. I said the coupon did not sayanything about that. She well that’s just their policy. I did not want to get into a pissing contest with her, so I just paid up. I will never use Capital Cleaners again. Apparently, customer is not king.
