The Only Reason for the Single Star, was the Amazing Nurse Who Took My Medical History Prior to Being Spoken-At by Dr. Varipappa. He was Obviously in a Hurry To Get Somewhere or Do Something Else. I Brought Full Imaging (Multiple View Complete Spinal X-rays & Full Spinal MRI With & Without Contrast) to be Evaluated by Dr. Varipappa. I Was Given Approximately 15 Seconds to Verbalize an Extremely Complicated Medical Problem with Multiple Overlapping Conditions. At the Conclusion of 15 Seconds, Dr. Varipappa Cut Me Off, Mid-Sentence, Blurting Out That I Needed To See A GI Doctor, Although, Three GI Specialists Indicated Nerve Signal Deficit was The Most Likely Cause of My Issues. He Would Have Known this Fact If He Had Even A Cursery Glance At My Chart.Don't Waste Your Time!

Originally, when I first coming to CNMRI, I felt good about my care from Dr. Coll. He was attentive and thorough, ordering imaging and other tests to figure out my migraines. However, somewhere along the way he lost his humanity and patience with me. I ways always wrong. My symptoms were not possible. My MRI from a year ago was normal. I kept telling him my symptoms were worsening and because he didn’t have an obvious diagnosis that made sense to him, it was like he was taking a needle and poking around to see if he could find something that sounded good and made sense to him. When it didn’t make sense he blamed other things for my symptoms such as my anxiety and even the medications (that are closely monitored) I had never had issues for 10+ years. And forget trying to communicate through MyChart because that ended for me in April with no responses to my questions. Crickets.Sometimes not everything makes sense. Sometimes it’s not a simple textbook answer. Sometimes you have to take the time to think outside the box. Sometimes you can have all of the education in the world and still be wrong. I know I have been wrong a lot in my profession, but I’ve had to swallow my pride, admit my faults, and learn from my mistakes. You made a mistake and were wrong Dr. Coll. There is an issue, but because my MRI from last year was normal you brushed me off. My PCP ordered a MRI and they did find something in my temporal lobe. Which wasn’t there last year, but things can change. Now I have to have additional testing to see what’s going on and if this change is the source of my symptoms. So I am now scared to see what these new tests will reveal, when all you could have said is, “I’m sorry. I don’t know what’s going on, but let’s order more tests.” That would have been completely acceptable to me. Instead you came off as arrogant and you couldn’t swallow your pride.Being a woman of faith, I believe there was a reason God led me to you initially. I believe there is a reason why there was a change in my MRI results, thank God my PCP took the time to listen to me. Maybe the purpose was to show you that the medical profession doesn’t have to make sense. Maybe I’m helping another patient who has lost their voice because you won’t listen.I wish you no ill will because God has a purpose for you and your career. I just ask that as you treat your current and future patients you listen to them and treat them with the same care you would for your own mother or children. If you are ever up against a scary medical situation, I wish you a better doctor than you were to me. I will be going elsewhere for my continued care.

Don’t plan for your appointment to be on time. Even if you ask how far behind is the dr you will get “they are on time” as I wait 45 + min for my appointment. If they would have told me it would be this far behind I would have rescheduled.

Words cannot describe the frustration encountered when dealing with this office because no one answers the phone and they just do not have a sense of urgency devoted to the required coordination with medical suppliers and insurance companies. It seems that the only way to obtain results is to personally go to their office and hand deliver documents to others.

What i love is when the office staff reprimand a waiter for not wearing mask, and 10 seconds later she pulls her mask down to breath, until the next person arrives.....

HORRIBLE office! Raciest and discriminates against people. Dr. Varipapa should not be allowed to be doctor.

I had a nice first experience here the other day. Dr. Coll was very thorough and knowledgeable. The rest of the staff was great and I was out in around 45 minutes.

Dr. Penny & his nurse, Lisa Burris, have helped me tremendously with my thundering migraines. They have also watched over my chronic nerve damage in my lower back and my peripheral neuropathy. I honestly don't know where I'd be if I hadn't found them years ago. ❤️❤️

Today I visited cnmri with my elderly parents . My mom has dementia and my dad does accompany me on her appts because it calms her . I however handle all her medical appts , care , talking with the doctors . Everything that pertains to her . All her doctors are aware of this and know I am the contact person and responsible party . Today I was not allowed bk with her , when I was the one the set the appt up with and was the contact person for all appts and who the Dr dealt with in the hospital . Because they have only two chairs in the back I was told . This I do not understand nor do I appreciate !!

Went through all the hurdles and testing for MONTHS so my Insurance would grant me the pleasure of seeing a neurologist . Within 30 seconds the Doctor was telling me there is nothing He can do. He said take medicine if you want or don’t, work out if you want or don’t. Great advice... much appreciated.

Staff is always kind and respectful. They have recently changed locations. They are right around the corner from old location. I was not notified on phone. Address is correct but map location still shows old location. I suggested update. Hopefully map it will be corrected soon.

Dr. Penny is great! We move around a lot due to my husband being military so he is my 5th Neuro for migraines. My point is he is the best!! He listens to me and is very patient, not to mention, he explains everything to me. In addition, Lisa, his nurse, is also very friendly and very efficient! I have zero complaints...only praise!!

The doctor walked in. Specifically said "read what you told her so this will be really short". Told me they would do all the stuff I have done for years - pt, shots (did those till the doctor told me he could not get the needle in from so much scar tissue), TENS (already have one), antidepressants (already on for years), chiropractic (did that), etc etc. When I told him I've done everything he is suggesting and that I had been on a low dose of opiods that have not taken away my pain, but took the edge off enough for me to function. He acted like I was a drug addict. Told me in the end there was nothing he could do but refer for surgery. I already did that too. Was told I was not a candidate. Had absolutely NO compassion for chronic pain. Did not ask any questions! Just assumes if you have used meds youre a drug addict!
