I wish I could provide a higher rating since banking with Dover FCU since 2004, but recently their administrative processes and procedures leave me no choice but to place a low rating.

Yep. I can attest that the other poor reviews are totally correct - Dover Federal Credit Union is totally incompetent and I would not advise working with them.First - their wait time is 20-30 minutes per call. I tried four times - that's a long time to wait every time;Second - they "could not verify my identity" as they stated in their message so they say I either had to visit their branch (in DE, of course) or there is nothing they could do. How other financial institutions can verify everything is a mystery to them, apparently;Third - I talked to their representatives on the phone and explained everything, but in return I got pretty incompetent answers and some irritation on their end to the point when it became ridiculous. At the end she (the rep) was literally asking me - "Why did you decide to open an account with us if you are traveling and cannot come to the branch when we say that?" For Christ's sake - You are a FEDERAL credit union, aren't you?Resume: No good, don't bother if you don't want to get a lot of headache down the road even if they open your account. And it's not that their technologies are outdated. It's the people - rude and incompetent.

What bank disables your account to get you to call them when they call from an unknown number (I'm not answering it), and also they do not leave a voice message?When will you be held accountable for this foolishness?

There was fraud on my business account and I called in to report it. I spoke to a customer care rep first than she transferred me over to the fraud department. The agent I spoke to was very unprofessional and laughed at my situation because I was upset. They also informed me I would have to pay for a new card to be sent out. They never took care of the issue and I’m closing all accounts with this bank. They are terrible it’s take so long for you to be able to speak someone immediately

The Camden Branch has absolute horrible customer service. Trying to contact someone is near impossible. After numerous phone calls, and messages over 3 weeks regarding a HELOC application, I was abruptly informed it was denied because I did not give requested document. However, I have an email receipt showing otherwise. Regardless, I would recommend banking somewhere else. As soon as I can, I will be removing every account I have with them.

Everything is slow with them. Their loan process takes a long time and you will need to reach out to them to keep the process moving. They're not helpful with your financial needs.

Worst financial institution on the planet. Ridiculous hold times and the "customer service" reps are rude. A little tip... the customer isn't always right but the customer is always the customer.

Paid off auto loan and DFCU refuses to give me back my car title, stating that it will take 3 months and that they do not know where it is.

I was pre qualified for a credits card but when prompted to continue it told me call the branch. When calling the branch in credit card services the rep was very rude. She tried using facts for me not to proceed. What bank does an interview to be approved for a credit card? I understand needing documentation but she was literally just telling me no do t bank here. RIDICULOUS

This is the worst credit union I have every experienced. They put out this quota as if they are truly for the people/community but truly they are not. First of all I applied for a loan and I asked for some simple information and the loan representative Laurie Johnson did just the opposite. She attempted to talk over me while I was explaining myself and tried to argue with me. She needs to be replaced with somebody who actually cares about members. Second of all I wanted to file a complaint against that nasty rude loan representative and the rep I spoke with promised that a supervisor will call me back and guess what? Nobody ever called. I’m closing my account and will go to a more prestigious credit union that respects and cares for their members. It is utterly ridiculous what I have went through with this company the absolute worse.

Never had an issue with this bank. Best bank hands down. I dare not go to another bank that charges you fees to hold my money. Great customer service. Anyone who has anything to say about this bank obviously had one bad experience and decided to comment. Credit Unions are better than any of those big banks. There are folks in the comments talking about long wait times, access to information, and etc like these big corp banks like TD BANK and PNC to name a few don’t have these same problems. U have one issue that doesn’t work with you and you complain a bad review. Maybe there’s a reason that happened to you. Your energy is already wrong when u approach the problem. It’s only going to get worse.

Someone hacked my checking account and my online banking was locked. Four days later I've done everything I was told to do and went into the branch only to be told that I CAN NEVER HAVE ONLINE BANKING ON MY ACCOUNTS because of the fraud. How on God's green earth is someone supposed to have accounts without online banking????? Amber Delcasale - Assistant Member Experience Manager was so incompetent!!! I explained that I wanted my money out of my accounts but to leave $5 in each so I could switch my direct deposits. She couldn't get that right. Then she had the nerve to say I was making her uncomfortable because I was angry!! You would be better off putting you money under your mattress rather than this bank .

Please don’t use this bank . Go to td bank. Wayyyyy better. Nothing but problems with Dover federal credit union.
