Poor customer service trying to get payoff for insurance company. Sit on hold for 1/2 hour when they just opened so they can’t be that busy. Stay away from getting any loans from these people. Especially car loans. They don’t even deserve one star.

What is the point of having people in these branches if they cant help you with situations about your money. Then they wonder why online banks are so popular. This branch has some of the worst people ever. They don't give two s**** about customers

I have been going through the most ridiculous auto loan process with them for the last nine months. I initially had a loan officer who emailed me regularly and then just stopped. I provided all of my documents to secure the loan application and I heard nothing back. After two weeks I went into the bank to figure out what’s wrong. “Oh she’s out with Covid and won’t be back for another week.” Okay… so I came back a week later, and found out she no longer works at the bank. So now I’m in limbo. I requested to speak to a manager because my application was going to expire if I didn’t complete it that day (it was Christmas week). Finally got the branch manager involved and he directed me to the assistant manager who I thought solved the problem. Signed all of my documents and gave any other required documents. Now fast forward to January 2022, I have a loan for the car! Awesome. I go to the DMV to get it registered and the DMV has nothing on the car other than the original owner (my father). Okay, so I relay the information. Went to the bank to figure out the next delay and I was told that it would take about 3-4 months till DFCU title company catches up on their backlog. I still checked twice a month with the DMV. Nothing. Now in may I went back into the bank to figure out the issue and they then tel me they have not received my title from the financing service my dad used. So I contact them only to find out that the title was sent out in January to the exact DFCU branch I’ve been going to. Now I request them to send it to my dads house so I can hand deliver it. I did. Now today 8/18/22 I walk into the DMV to register the car in my name and guess what… DFCU STILL HAS NOT SENT MY TITLE. So now another hour wasted inside the DMV, I go to DFCU to solve this issue. I’m furious about this whole thing. I sit down in the office with my THIRD loan officer and get told I need to redo all the paperwork that was initially signed and notarized. I was also told that the assistant Manager that “solved” this problem is no longer with the bank. Provide more documents to prove who I am in relation to my father as well as to start this process over again. The “notes” on file said they tried to contact me via email about the the missing information. So I checked my email and showed that I received nothing other than a reminder that a credit card bill was due. It’s been nine months and I’ve been treated horribly especially with my first car purchase. I will never utilize this bank ever again after this. Horrible service and DFCU should be ashamed.

Literally the worst place I've ever had to do any banking. I can't even get ahold of anyone to make payments, unless I physically go into the store. Calling in? Wait on hold for 45 minutes and it disconnects. Make a payment online? Nope nothing online actually works correctly. Actually find a human to talk to? Transferred and put on hold indefinitely. Try to use the automated teller? It asks for random numbers and codes that I don't even have for my account and puts me back on hold. I've had a loan through these guys for over a year and I don't honestly know if I've hated doing business with anyone else as much as Dover Federal Credit Union. Employees are nice in person, the company itself just sucks for customer service besides that.

Absolutely worst experience here. Had to cash a check for a customer of mine, she used a different bank than usual. So she asked me to drive to DFCU. Upon entering the drive thru, I read the sign and it said they do cashing. After a 10 minute wait I get told I have to come inside because I don't have an account with them. No problem, I figured that was the case for security anyway. 15 minutes of waiting to be seen by a teller just for them to take 15 minutes more after taking my ID and social card to tell me that there is a 5$ fee and it will take even longer. Worst bank experience ever.

Let me tell you the tale of my auto loan process... I purchased a used Toyota Camry from the local Toyota dealership down the road. They use Dover FCU for their loans. My interest was 4%, not bad for a used vehicle. I signed the documents and waited for my documents to arrive by mail so I could set up my payments. After several weeks, my documents arrive. I open them to find they stuffed someone else's documents in to my envelope. I then go to the physical branch and tell them what happened and that I just want the account information so I can pay my car note. The woman behind the counter proceeds to ask me a barrage of questions that are necessary to open a checking account: "Are you a foreign national?" "Are you a citizen of the United States?" I informed her I was already issued the loan and I have my car, that these questions weren't needed for the loan I already have. 30 minutes later, I'm expecting a print out of what I should have got in the mail -a summary of my loan documents- and instead I am given chicken scratches on a Post-It note; my account number. Fine. I go home and attempt to sign up for an account but I can't for the life of me figure out how to sign up for an online account without making an online checking account first. I don't want a bank account. I took out a loan and just want to pay my bill and check the balance. After a frustrating hour, I figure out how to make the account. I go to set up automatic billing and am told I can't because I don't have a checking account with them. Fine. I have the account number, I'll set it up through my own bank. I set up online billing with my own bank and they ask for an address. Guess what I can't find? The address they want your checks sent to. I scour the website, I can't find it anywhere. Is it the physical address of the branch? Do I need to address it to a specific department? Is there a DFCU processing center? Third party processing company? After 30 minutes of searching, I just use the physical branch address I pulled from google. My first payment took 17 days to process. After about a year, I want to go check the balance of my loan. I go to login. "Incorrect account information." Okay, I get it; I've had to create some wonky passwords the last few months, I probably just have the wrong one. Go to password reset and input my username and email. The next screen says they received my request for a password reset. 30 minutes later, no email is received. Hmmm... I start typing in other usernames I could have used and after a few minutes, I figure it out; I used a different username and password combo. But wait a minute...why did it tell me it received my request and sent me something if I entered the wrong info? Surely this website isn't so poorly made that you can submit anything and it will take it, right? Wrong. Try a little experiment. Type in a random email and username and see what happens. I tried the following Username: doverfcusux Email: doverfederalcreditsux@gm… Sure enough, they received the request and sent en email to that account (that doesn't exist). How lazy is it to make a BANKING company website that doesn't even cross-check basic user information to ensure that it is correct. What if I'm in a hurry and accidently enter in the wrong info or fat-finger a few keys? Your website can't cross check the existence of that username/email combo, like every other website does? That leaves people waiting for no reason, not realizing their info is incorrect. Dover FCU, you are the worst bank/credit union I've ever used in my life. For customer service, online banking, payment processing, and billing/mailing. Things happen and I'm a very patient and forgiving person but every single step in this process to (literally) give you my money and you to provide me with very basic services with your bank was painful and frustrating. I will actively discourage people from using your services. I am refinan

Every week it’s something new with this bank as a whole.this week? An unexplained $100 hold on my paycheck? Preventing me to make my monthly car payment. Wth. Oh but it’ll be my fault not theirs. I could go on but I don’t have time to list all of the issues I’ve had.

One of the worst banks/ credit unions I have ever dealt with. I understand that this review is during COVID but there poor customer service has been going the last 4 years I've been with them. I am only using them so I can deposit cash into my USAA account, but there service is horrible. Please think twice before you bank with them. The last Issue I had with them was apparently they completely canceled their line of credit without letting members know and the only way you found out was when you called up, waited on hold for over 45 minutes to try to do something with it.

Wish l could give 0 stars. This bank is terrible with customer service, do NOT ever use them for a loan/title/anything other then a place to keep your money. Even then ld recommend finding a better bank. Something as simple as requesting a title cant even be done correctly. Customer service tells you one thing, the branch tells you something else, and no one returns phone calls. Cashiers check isnt the same as cash, but they seem to think so. This is the 2nd time lve ran into issues with this bank. The only person who was able to help me quit, probably because she was sick of doing other peoples jobs. You are much better off with another bank.
