I have a trucking business and I've been calling everyday and sit in hold for over a hour and then hung up. They want my $ but don't want to answer my calls . Try to avoid late fees but they don't answer. Unbelievable how our country is going these days.

Horrible customer service!! Overpriced, broken website, no one ever answers the phone, and astronomical junk fees with every transaction. Their discount system also makes no sense: the higher your tax bracket, the more you save AUTOMATICALLY. As someone in sales, I can tell you that this is a horrible model for upselling. To be honest, I'm not sure how exactly they're making enough money to stay open. AVOID IF POSSIBLE!!!

Tax season is over, so why are you taking so long on my Amended Return? I can't get anyone on the phone for this department and it's sad. What else are you all doing? People need their money, you shouldn't be allowed to take 4 months on anyone's tax returns, IRS is lazy. I'm filing a complaint to the BBB also.

As a democrat who took pride in paying taxes I am 100% convinced that the irs hates people and tax payers. They lost my tax form and are ZERO HELP.

After a 8 week waiting period, I was rather impatient as to why I had not yet received my tax return. I efiled, 21 days til refund comes, right? I made several phone calls to the IRS to speak with a representative and I am here to proclaim they actually were helpful. I spoke with an "Andrew" and a "Mrs Arnstead" and the service was great.. it was excellent. Now, my initial calls were not met with a friendly voice on the other end, I will not mention those names. my point is, if you call the IRS and all of your concerns are not fully addressed, and you are not feeling any better... simply call back for a different representative. It is that simple. They want to help you, but not everyone has the same type of customer service skill set.

I am writing this review in the attempt to bring awareness among citizens. After I have talked to a wonderful agent, she gave me a phone number of a department in charge with "Letter of compromise." The number was 844-805-4908. Upon dialing it, an advertisement came up about "if you want to win a $100 Walmart gift card." I was not interested in this, but the system didn't give me another option in menu, so I had to press "1."What happened next was beyong my comprehension. An Indian from India answered, identifying himself as Ryan. I told him I need help to clear the situation with that letter of compromise, and he assured me he will help me to get my refund immediately. I replied that I will not go on my laptop or give him account number. I got the chills, and hung up the phone.I called back, and went through the same introduction with the "Wamart gift card", which I know IRS would not advertise. Then, the same "Ryan" answer the phone. I asked, "Ryan, it's you?" He listened to me for a few seconds, and hung up. I called for the 3rd time. A woman answered the phone. Same Indian accent. I asked her to provide me with the badge number. She replied, "I do not have a badge #." I said, "every IRS agent has a badge number." She talked to someone quickly, and then said, "ok. I will give you my badge number."Obviously, the scammers took over that line. I was able to identify them, just because I have watched a lot of vlogs on YOUTUBE about those scams. My question is, how the elderly people will protect themselves from these fraudsters?I am very disappointed with the sysyem itself!

February 7th 2022, said that you received my tax return and here it is 2weeks from a year and STILL I haven't received anything! Received 2 letters from you, stating that I would receive an amount on October 3th of last year, and again a letter stating that I was owed interest. WHERE'S MY REFUND, AND INTEREST¿¿¿ I called and spoke to one, telling me that I should hear something in 30 days. Those days came and gone. Let me ask someone a question that's in a higher position, " did you get yours, or are you STILL waiting as I'm¿¿¿

Don't bother to call if you actually get a human there not a agent there a just a phone operator that can do anything for you with no actual tax knowledge. Just a waste of time.

Well i sent in my taxes back in April and got a letter in November about needing to verify my identity using my phone and doing a video chat. Had to show my birth certificate, Insurance card and a bill to verify myself along with email. What on earth. This all took about a hour we couldn't get the mic to turn on and it had glitches. The people helping do this mess all seemed to sense my frustration and treated me very politely and i don't remember taxes ever being so hard as this year. Did get our refund very fast after doing all this mess and i had to use other peoples phones and emails because of glitches. Definitely need to make taxes easier to do and i don't understand having to verify anything when i have been at the same address thirty years. The IRS staff are very polite and patient and I didn't get the impression they thought all this was fun either. Folks reading this if you get asked to verify....... Make sure its on a good day mentally. LOL They send you verification codes you need to enter and using email you can have delays that make verifying impossible so you need a cell phone, then proper lighting, can't enter the wrong code. Man i am stressed realizing it's almost tax time again. LOL

Deal with theys guys every year, and am 100% satisfied. I fill out a piece of paper, and they accept it, no questions asked. One year they even found a mistake I made, and sent me some extra money. Best tax agency in the world.

The IRS gets a zero rating from. I have not received my return from 2021, sent in February 2022. They don't follow their own rules and deadlines. They constantly blame everything on COVID-19 instead of just doing their jobs. They have hired a whole bunch of $15 an hour, work from home, customer representatives, who actually have no training or degrees in taxation whatsoever. Taxpayers are not actually allowed to speak with anyone who really works for the IRS, just random customer service representatives who know nothing about tax laws. Taxation with no Representation.
