DO NOT GET YOUR PICTURES DONE HERE! I got them done with my boyfriend yesterday everything was going good, we did multiple poses but felt rushed in between. We got done gave her time to edit… we looked at all the pictures I’d say 4/16 of those pics were not good at all come to find out for the digital option it was $199 I paid for it because that how I am but not worth it at all and we didn’t even get all the pictures we took so a waste of money we were rushed and it was just dirty in there never again. Keep your time and money.

We scheduled an appointment for 145. They told us two parties were ahead of us okay fine. Then multiple parties went ahead of us one of which took 45 + minute session. Ultimately we waited over an hour and half and still weren’t called back so ended up cancelling our appointment. When asking how much longer we were met with attitude not even an apology for being SO behind. She proceeded to tell me that they have appointments every 15 minutes which meant we should not have been waiting an hour and half. I would never go back here.

Hate to leave bad reviews but this needs to be out there. Would have left zero stars but am made to choose 1. We showed up 15 minutes early to our appointment. Checked in and was told we had 2 families ahead of us. So max wait time would be 30 minutes, considering you only get 15 minutes. 1.5 hours later with a now fussy 4 month old baby we were told another 15 minutes. The people ahead of us were in taking pictures for at least 35 minutes at that point. Ask the lady up front whom I pretty sure is the manager if we can cancel because our appointment was way long ago. She proceeded to get an attitude and state that they have appointments all day every 15 minutes. Top stating things that aren't true. Stick to your schedule and maybe you wouldn't have to get an attitude. Not to mention they had around 5 employees working with one studio so not sure how you get so far behind. Can't find a customer service number to call either. Don't go there, it's not worth it.

I made an appointment a week in advance for Thursday at 11:30am. I drove over an hour and a half to get my son’s 1st birthday pictures taken. We arrived exactly at 11:30am and I saw that the photographer was in the middle of a shoot (no problem). She never came out to acknowledge me nor my appointment. There were numerous outfit changes and poses with the shoot. Almost 30 minutes went by and still nothing. After she’s done with their photoshoot she acknowledged me and tells me to pick out the background in which I did. Another 15 minutes goes by as she’s still working with the family. I have a 1 year old with me who is now getting antsy. I walk up to her and ask if she has a time frame of when she would start taking his pictures. She says 15 minutes, I come back they’re still discussing photos (understandable). I wasn’t trying to rush their process but she should have let me know that she was running over an hour behind! She basically gave my appointment time to them and didn’t consult with me about it. When they checked out I asked her did she understand my frustration? She looked at me as if I was crazy and said I can see your upset. Yes I am upset, if the roles were reversed you would be too! She never apologized until I said she owes me an apology! If you don’t have to don’t come here to capture any special moments! She literally ruined my baby’s 1st birthday and did not care one bit. She made faces and whispered while the photographer edited my photos. Last but not least she was the store manager. She showed no consideration or compassion at all for someone who supposedly has a leadership position in customer service!

People sure are expecting a lot out of JC Pennys...Sheesh. I had some pictures taken today with my fussy cat. The photographer was Karlyn and she was very patient and lovely. She actually wanted to take more pictures but I was getting hot and my cat was getting grumpy so I cut it short. The pictures came out just lovely nonetheless. Thank you!!!

I hate writing bad reviews but I feel like this needs to be shared. We went in about a week ago we arrived on time still waited about 15 minutes before our session started and our photographer wasn’t the greatest. We were there to take family photos and we were only allowed to do certain poses while a family that came in after us got so many poses and they arrived late. Out of all the photos she took we only received 12 pictures not even all of them are super great and they are a lot of the same poses (we didn’t even receive all of our poses) for $170 which is crazy. So I contacted corporate and they gave us a retake date we show up and because they scheduled it and didn’t give us a code we would have to pay for photos yet again, I had all proof of talking to management about this session but because I had no code I wasn’t allowed to proceed. I’m extremely frustrated with this. I will never be using this place again. It’s so sad that I got more photos back with my newborn session than I did with a family session considering my newborn was extremely fussy when we did her shoot.

The place was disgusting and was not open during open hours. The African American lady was eating her food when it was already past opening hours and had the entrance blocked off… very unprofessional. The lady also stated that the floor was the cleanest it could get.. I beg to differ

The people at checkout need customer service training. Did not feel appreciated by cashier or any other associate. A friend I was with was looking at some scents bundles for men, when an associate asked if she needed help. When my friend kindly replied no, the associate stood next to her and stared at her until she felt uncomfortable enough to put the product back on the shelf. thats all have a blessed holiday, maybe some christmas cheer will help you all!

So today my 11 year old and 4 month year old had an appointment at 215PM, unfortunately we arrived at 130PM, no worries better late than never. Well there were two photographers one I was not pleased with the way she took photos while seeing her do others and the other took my newborns photos before well I am unsure if being a Manager got to her head because she was not the last time but we waited 2.5 hours until she says to me, my partner will be back from break and take your photos nicely I stated no thank you I prefer you. I did not want to be rude so I stated we were waiting for you. Keep in mind we have been waiting long already with a 4 month baby. The Manager states I am going on break. I tell her I do not mind waiting until you come back because I prefer you since my newborn has went to sleep due to the latness in your previous appointments. She tells me NO I AM BOOKED later lol I State ok so can I reschedule she states you can but during the week mornings, after I just told her mornings don't work because my 11 year old is in school and you gave innconvinced me while making me sit here.I am now livid as you have innconvinced me but could have told me this 2.5 hours ago. OK so now FORGET IT ALL TOGETHER.I am new to Delaware and both time I been to this location people have been not pleased now its me. So through all the preparation and waiting we left eith nothing i am truly not pleasedand if you innconvince someone how can you be so rude when i was still willing to deal with stsyong longer, this is HORRIBLECUSTOMER SERVICE how can you tell a customer how to spend their money when they have a preferance of whom takes there photos.

I received my online order wentto Dover to return a few items. wanted a price adjustment for a jacket on the same receipt. The grumpy manager came over and said no unless you physically have the jacket here. No other stores do it like this. I dont think it would be as bad but seriously she looked angry at the world!!!! Jc penny I believe you just lost a customer.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. We waited over an hour past our appt time, with two toddlers, and ended up leaving with no pictures being taken. They apologized to people who arrived way after us about the fact that they'd have to wait for our pictures to be taken, but didn't seem to care that we waited that entire time, all without complaining. Will never be going back here.
