MainStay Suites Dover offers basic accommodations with some positive features. The rooms have a nice layout, and guests appreciate the larger refrigerator in the kitchen area. However, some rooms have dated furnishings, and issues such as non-working overhead lights in the bedroom and a noisy bathtub/shower that sounds like it may fall through the floor. The hallways sometimes smell musty, though the rooms themselves tend to avoid this smell. Wi-Fi quality is poor, and the overall condition of the rooms is dated. The hotel is located in a good and safe area, away from homeless gathering spots. The entrance is clean, and the front desk staff are attentive, helpful, and professional. One staff member was especially praised for making guests feel welcome. The hotel features a 24-hour self-serve coffee and hot drink machine and offers a limited, basic breakfast that includes pre-made sandwiches, waffles, cereal, pastries, juice, and milk. Unfortunately, the breakfast options and coffee are often considered not very tasty, and choices are limited. Guests note that the hotel is not a luxury spot but provides a safe, quiet place to rest, especially for those needing a quick, affordable stay. It is seen as a decent option for travelers seeking a simple, no-frills experience, with some praising the helpful front desk and convenient location.
Antwaine at front desk was a delight and wonderful person. He was very kind and professional. Made my family and I feel at home. Definitely will stay again. Thanks so much Antwain

Dated rooms. Furnishings dated. Wifi quality was poor. Smelled of disinfectant. Cheap place if you book in advance. Not bad. The front desk was helpful. Breakfast was bad. Coffee was bad. Choices were limited. At a price point it can still work.
