Been in Dover for almost 7yrs, I’ve been to a few different shop with a few disappointments weather it be service not being right or money jst being crazy amounts. Than I gave Melvin’s a try. Most people don’t care about this but it’s key for me. Honesty….. they are upfront with you from the gate. There pricing is fair on both you and them. There work is great. I have an old truck (86) and there was an annoying as all get out n they didn’t stop till they found it. If you’re looking for a respectful shop this is the place.

Took my car for transmission work came back for it and my rearview mirror was broken off laying in my car and part of the roof panel asked them about it said they had no clue about it and they’d fix it in the end took only 100 dollars off the 3600 dollar fee and told us fix it ourselves cause they couldn’t and my tire pressure sensor light was off and cel still has not cleared

I don't know where to start with this review. My fiancé has been going to Melvin's for his vehicle for a few years. I live in Philadelphia and drive a 2015 Altima. Unfortunately for a year, my car was parked in front of my home, just un-driveable. I went to 4 different Nissan Dealerships and no one could tell me why my car would randomly lose power and stop running. I gave up until my fiancé suggested to take the car to Melvin's. We risked it by driving up from Philadelphia to Dover. It died on the way up once, we gave it a few minutes, and then it started to drive again. Then we made it to Melvin's! Jose suggested to use our vehicle to run errands to see exactly what was causing the power loss. No other mechanic has ever offered to do such a thing. I have never encountered such care and attention from a mechanic. He figured out! It was the alternator! I am forever grateful to this shop for getting my car to run again. Great customer service and attention to your needs. Please don't hesitate to bring your vehicle to Melvin's!

Melvin's is the best. They do a great multi point inspection and provide photos of the recommended repairs and categorize by necessity. Their labor rate is great and the way to pay is very convenient. The staff with whom we interested are fantastic. Just a great experience and my wife was as pleased with her experience and the work completed.Service: Oil change
