Hours: Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL) is a long-standing retail chain that has been operating in New England for over 30 years. This year, the company has expanded into Delaware, taking over the former Big Lots stores in Seaford and Dover. OSJL's business model is centered around buying out "lots" of goods that have been labeled as "damaged" or "losses" from other businesses or insurance companies. This allows the store to offer customers deeply discounted prices on a wide variety of items, providing them with exceptional value. Customers praise the store's diverse selection, which includes a robust food section featuring gourmet items and seasonal merchandise. The store is well-stocked, organized, and offers a pleasant shopping experience, with friendly and helpful staff. While the store may not have the same level of brand-name recognition as some of its competitors, shoppers can find an impressive array of name-brand products at significantly reduced prices. Overall, Ocean State Job Lot is a unique retail destination that offers customers the opportunity to discover unexpected bargains and enjoy a satisfying shopping experience.
