I had a great surprise when I arrived last weekend with some friends and saw how spacious the room was. The bathroom was enormous and the apartment was immaculate. Ubers and taxis are constantly available, and the location is excellent. We were able to extend our stay by storing our luggage at the hotel for a few hours after we checked out, thanks to the kind personnel. I will most certainly return to this location.Rooms: Rooms were clean and good. I like the room sprayNearby activities: Bally's dover Casino, Race track, Agricultural MuseumSafety: The property is being monitored by CC TV around-the-clock, and the personnel was making a few rounds during their shifts. The stay was peaceful.Walkability: Walkable to 7in11, liquor store and Popeye's and Burlington Mall

I stayed at Red Roof Inn because I was attending a wedding nearby, and I thought the decently high price suggested an at-least acceptable hotel. This place stank (like weed and unwashed pets), the water tasted disgusting, and the construction (walls/ceilings) were so thin it sounded like my upstairs neighbors were bowling until about 2AM. The elevator was broken from the first floor so you had to climb to the second floor to use it (if it deigned to work for you). Literally the only saving grace, besides the convenient location, was that the front desk folks were very nice.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is nice. Shower heads need to be changed but it’s nice and affordable.

I came here to Dover with my family for the weekend and thought we struck a deal with the rate we paid compared to the other competitors. We’ve been here before and had a decent experience, but to my surprise, this hotel isn’t too far off from the low-end motels down the street. There was the smell of Cigarette smoke in my non-smoking room, one light fixture was not working, the door (room 301) was completely defunct because you can stay inside and see through a gaping crack what’s outside of the door; the vent in the bathroom was rusting and full of dust; my bed had crumbs on it which meant no one cleaned; I have a small daughter and a teenager with my myself and myself and felt completely unsafe.I’m not sure if since 2022 there’s new management, but this feels like a completely different establishment than before and no one should feel comfortable bringing their families here. I wish I could post my pictures and videos of what I walked into. This management should be absolutely ashamed of what they’ve got going on in this place and the health inspectors need to be called and investigate the horrible conditions this place has fallen into. I will never again stay at this Red Roof and possibly any again for that matter, because quality control is completely out of the picture here. I am displeased and will not recommend to anyone to stay here.Safety: Broken door in room 301, looks like someone tried to break in. I can stand inside and see who’s outside!!

There we’re guests all over the place at 2am smoking and partying all night. We flew into the airport and came straight to the hotel and got there at two and walked in to cigarette smoke. The rooms smelled like urine and cigarette smoke. The door was tore up the shower rod tore off the wall shampoo left in the bathtub, which means it wasn’t cleaned before. Not a good place stay clear.

Safety glass installed at the check-in desk, the guest rooms don't have carpeting, TV's barely work, and the breakfast is minimal. Never again!

I would say that you get what you pay for, but at $250 a night, you don't. It's not clean, the floors aren't carpeted, it's so loud and they felt that putting bright lights outside pointing directly at windows was a good idea.

Absolutely wonderful! I love it. I stayed in many hotels in Dover. For the price, it has everything the top dollar hotels offer, however for much less price. Security, beautiful rooms, continental breakfast, coffee 24/7, hairdryer, iron board/iron in rooms...etc. Including, access to the washer and dryer. I can't say enough how pleased I am with my 10 day stay here.

Received a notice for a reservation I did not make. Called customer service and was told that I had to call the location itself. Called front desk (twice) and finally spoke to a positively rude lady who told me I couldn't cancel the reservation that I did not make. After being placed on hold again, sne finally came back and told me I was paying for one night. If you want loyal customers try listening to their complaint before you say no!

So I’m going to say this. And I really mean this in a nice way. The hotel is ok. For the prices it’s not worth it. Very outdated. Everything seems to be falling apart. If the prices were low to go with the hotel condition I wouldn’t of mind staying here. But the over night worker kalani. I can’t do. She isn’t a nice person at all. Frankly she shouldn’t be working at a hotel front desk. She is rude and nasty. She seems like a person that just does what she wants here and faces no consequences at all or action. I stayed here for a while and I’ve watched her do whatever she wants. Talks to guest any way she wants. I’ve talked to other employees about her and nothing was done. She still talked the way she wanted to guests. I never seen a person so rude at a hotel in my life. And I been traveling for years. This is by far the most disrespectful hotels I been at. I’ve been all over the world for work. I took a vacation and came here to visit someone and my experience was horrible due to her. She needs to be fired and let go!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve walked past her several times she smells. Had a bad stench to her. I don’t get how that’s acceptable at a hotel front desk. Wish I had good things to say. The General manager is nice. But he doesn’t seem to have any control of his staff obviously. Rude disrespectful runs all over him employees

I was there only one night, so I don't really now much about this hotel. The main thing I could realize that it was a very old place and it needs to be repaired. The breakfast was a little bit pure. Instead of decaffeinated coffee water was pouring. It is really inn, not hotel.

My family has stayed at this hotel one night a year for the last 13 years, on an annual road trip from NYC to Chincoteague. It's perfect. Clean, nice staff, good continental breakfast, affordable price. Highly recommend for a road trip overnight.

We have stayed at the Red Roof Inn a lot of times. The service was always great and the rooms were always very clean. We can only remember 2 times we had problems once with ants in our room....maybe from rain and the other time was with noisey neighbors walking like they were wearing cinder blocks as shoes and making a lot of noise talkingĺ

The good: the staff are friendly and accommodating. The staff gets 5*****. The property is clean and cared for. The meh: Breakfast is grab and go but don't take it out of the breakfast area! Basic items to get your day started. The bad: THIS PLACE IS SO NOISY! If being a sidewalk away from 6 lane HWY 13 isn't bad enough the property uses LVT tile in the rooms so there is nothing to absorb any of the sounds. The hotel is built in such a way that 3 of the 4 sides face HWY 13 most likely you will be in a room to watch the midnight drag races on HWY 13 as they pass by. LVT title is great since you know the floors are cleaned regularly and not hiding little critters. However, it also doesn't hide sounds. The inconsiderate neighbor who likes HGTV louder than the HWY noise is that much louder- the dog with the too long nails next door click click click click- the wacko person upstairs who thinks it is appropriate to be doing jumping exercising at 5am is louder- dropping something by accident sounds like a thunderclap- any noise just bounces around the room like being played through a megaphone. This is a loud property and there is no way around it so be prepared for the noise level and try to be considerate of other guests. *all above examples were real experiences while I was there*
