Renders is the local IGA grocery store with great local treats like the best scrapple Delaware made. Friendly customer service. Tired of the lack of customer service at Walmart? Shop here but beware you won't find Walmart prices here.

Great tasting chicken for events. Their generic products are sometimes just as good as name brands. Fruit and vegetables are plentiful and are always fresh. There are rows and rows of merchandise to fulfill any customer's need.

I went to your store around 10AM and I picked up eggs and bacon. There was a cashier open but she was talking to a man in a blue shirt, so i continue to self check out! The item scanned and and said remove the item and scan again, I tried and nothing happened, I called a young lady standing near the front talking to another gentleman and she used her pass to make it ok. I tried to check out after scanning the eggs and it said see cashier. What kind of service is this and if you want people to wait on themselves, your equipment should be working. I left the items and went to FOOD LION where they had 4 cashiers open and friendly. FORGET your store!!

Bought some 5 for $20 beef pieces. They were red on the outside and brown on the inside. Redners is shaddy putting consumers at health risk.

Redner's is the best grocery store in our area. It is also owned by the employees. The employees seem to have a lot of pride in the work and I have been coming here for years and have not had any issues. The grocery store is clean and well stocked and you can generally get a raincheck for anything that they don't have that is on sale. If you get the grocery card (which is free) you can get gas on discount. Cheaper gas is always welcome! If you are ever in the area or are new to the area and need to get food, this is the place to go. Happy shopping!

This is the best supermarket in the area so why does it only get 2 stars? Because there are no good shopping options in the area, there are no Wegmans, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, or even a Shop Rite. Redners has a limited selection and a small produce area but as long as you check your prices you can do ok shopping here. I will say they have a good meat section, the meats are good quality unfortunately again limited in selection you won't find bison steaks or other higher end fair. The deli while the staff is good the prices are robbery and the stuff they slice then sell prebagged is never fresh.

Yes, it's the very first grocery store I've ever reviewed in the almost 10 years I've been on yelp. But since this isn't a national chain, I chose to write about why I think more people should go here. It's owned and operated by it's workers. The guy that brings the cart into the store to the cashier has a stake on the place, it's why there's a lot of pride in the work being done here. The prices aren't bad, they've got their own version of some food and I'm usually here for the different veggies that are a little more fresh than what's found in the NY area.

A few years ago, I watched this place go up and noticed that the sign said "Employee Owned and Operated." I thought the idea was kind of interesting (the big Walmart across the way sure isn't giving its employees the same shake), so I thought I'd take a look. One night, I stopped in. I wasn't quite prepared for it - it looked different. The shelves are higher than most grocery stores, and maybe that makes the aisles look narrower? I don't know, something like that; I'm not sure if I felt like a midget or I just didn't quite get it - it was almost like walking into a European grocery store, where things are just laid out a bit differently. It threw me off for a bit, but I started to check the prices and the quality of the goods. I liked what I saw. As I've made this my primary place to shop, I've noted that the employees here seem to take a bit more pride in their work, and are willing to go out of their way to help customers. Maybe that's because they own a part of it, or maybe it's just because they have better hiring practices, but I appreciate it. The produce here is usually pretty good. It's not Willey's, or the Newark Farmer's Market, but it's by no means shabby, and it's definitely fresher than most of the other groceries around town. Redner's also has a wider selection - I don't see Honeycrisp apples in Acme, for example, and Walmart wouldn't touch the things. Redner's comes up large by bringing them in when they're in-season. This breadth of product diversity is noticeable in other areas, too. Redner's carries a greater variety of most goods - maybe because there's more shelf space? The goods are usually a bit higher quality, too, but without really being much more expensive (if it's more expensive at all). The meat is fresher, and the good cheeses are usually available at more reasonable prices. Overall, the store is probably the best grocery in middle Delaware. Better yet, it's open late (maybe 24/7?) - I prefer to do my shopping when nobody else is around, and this place makes it easy. One other note: the street address for this store doesn't show up right in Google Maps; you'll have to use Bing to see where it really is, just off southbound 13 in north Dover.
