The attention was too bad.I felt discriminated against by the way the people at the leasing center responded to me.He didn't take the time to ask me for information or give me a concrete and well-founded answer.

Would not recommend. Bugs, mice & rats within units. Also I believe the manager is prejudice and racists towards the non white workers. You cannot voice your opinion on how you feel you’re being treated to the manager. It’s like you have to shut up and go with the flow even when she is not respecting you the way you respect her. Ran very badly here.

I lived here for 4 long years and the response from the management is very bad. I emailed them about the lease termination on December 6 and they confirmed about my last day to be 31 Jan. Again they charged me for Feb and sent to collections. I don’t recommend this place.

I am a current resident and I must say I truly enjoy this place. The grounds are beautifully kept, the pool is great, the gym could use some attention but it’s still better than most. I love being able to walk around no matter what the time is and feel completely safe. Neighbors are friendly and watch out for others as there are always packages being delivered incorrectly. Staff has always been enjoyable to speak to when I’ve needed them. Several restaurants, coffee shops etc right outside the complex.

I have lived here for three years. The apartment staff is very nice and friendly. Maintenance was always there within 24 hours when I needed them. The location is also great, it’s close to the city of Wilmington and Kennett Square. The biggest highlights for me were safety and affordability/amenities. As a young woman, I’ve never felt unsafe, even when walking in late at night. I really enjoyed having a washer/dryer, balcony, and a spacious living room all while paying significantly less money each month than other apartments in the area. I definitely recommend ?

ETA: Do NOT believe the responses from Pettinaro on the bad reviews. You can see my review from 2 years ago about the same problems, and they responded like they were going to fix it. I moved out 2 years ago, and they are still harassing me for more money to replace their carpets that they ruined when they finally wheeled a replacement refrigerator in.No stars. I lived here for 2 years. My first Summer, my AC was broken the entire Summer. My second Summer, my refrigerator was broken for a total of 8 weeks. I paid my rent on time every month. I gave 60 days notice of my move out date through the leasing office's portal. Leasing office said they don't check the portal often enough, so they won't count it as 60 days notice. They charged me an extra month's rent because of their mistake. They also charged me to replace the carpets in the apartment, but their maintenance never wore foot protectors, and the carpet is the cheapest possible. I tried fighting it through court, and there is no way an individual can afford to keep fighting this big company even though they 100% lied about dates and I have written proof and receipts. If you do decide to live here, do NOT pay the entire security deposit. Instead, take the option to pay some of it as a nonrefundable. They will not refund whatever security deposit you give them, so minimize your loss.

There are many nice and not-so-nice things about living here. I have been living here for 1.5 yrs and would say that it is a nice area. My #1 concern, and this is a big one, is how thin the floor is (ceiling for my downstairs neighbors). Every. Single. Step. The floor creaks loudly. I can hear my neighbors walk, talk, shower, and flush in their unit... my DOWNSTAIRS neighbors. I cringe to think how clearly they can hear every step I take in my unit. Meanwhile Pettinaro is undertaking several large commercial construction projects, new shopping centers and things like that. I feel like the Pettinaro company does not care about people or about doing the right thing. They have basically become like a heartless corporate conglomerate. The floors need some kind of concrete/steel barrier, not just creaky wood.

My fiancé and I moved in 4 months ago with our newborn. So far it’s been a very safe and a friendly environment. Our apartment is clean with no rodents or bug infestations. Some stores are pretty close. The walls are definitely thin but if your neighbors aren’t obnoxiously loud you should be fine. Management is slow to address your concerns. You do have to hawk them down, but they are nice. Be aware that although the website states that it is a smoke free community it actually is not. Every tenant has not signed their new smoking policy. We personally deal with a chain smoking neighbor and a consistent smoke smell in our apartment. There are half smoked cigarettes everywhere outside our apartment building, as well as by the community bench. Overall, I’d say it’s a comfortable place to live.

Been living here for 12+ years now. Worst acquisition ever. Before Pettinaro, the neighborhood was excellent and I would recommend to everyone. Since Pettinaro took over, the management is absolutely incompetent.1. Trash isn’t taken out regularly. It’s not pleasant to see overflowing trash cans.2. Calling the office is a nightmare. The staff is rude.3. Lots of maintenance issues because apartments are lot. We requested someone to fix an important bathroom issue. Still waiting. Been 10days.4. You can smell weed in certain parts of the neighborhood now (Happened after Pettinaro). Quality of people they let in is not the same as it was before. More rowdy neighbors. Management just tells you to call the cops. They don’t do anything to stop the rowdiness.5. Pettinaro management also doesn’t do power washes on decks like previous owners. I’ve seen many decks with green moss now.1 star because it is a safe neighborhood. This management needs to take management classes.

If you like raids, arsons, and drugs deals gone bad (as a result multiple tenants cars were smashed) then this is the place for you! Maintenance issues are never resolved and the staff is rude.

Lived here for about 5 years and nothing has improved. I rented a one bedroom on my own 7 years ago and everything in the gym is still the same. No new equipment and things are constantly broken. Treadmills have skipped for years. They cannot even replace ripped in half medicine balls or mats. For the price we pay monthly it’s a joke. On top of that, looking to finally move out due to a new job and commute and, since we rent month to month, were just told we are now responsible for Dec and Jan rent since it’s Nov 4 and not Nov 1. Literally unbelievable.

I lived here for over a year and my ac was constantly broke , I have 2 small children and our apartment was 80 degrees for 2 weeks. Very unprofessional managers and maintenance. The pool was never open. Overall a very unpleasant experience living here. Not to mention crackheads walking around the apartments all hours of the day and night. I would NOT recommend as a “family friendly” place. My down stairs neighbors had a horrible roach infestation and all they did was set powder outside of the doors. We had many issues living here.

Maintenance here is a joke. They take years to come fix something that needs to be replaced because it’s out dated they just keep trynna fix it. Apartments are cheaply made! Mold in my bathroom. Leaks in my apartment when it rains just amess this place needs to update things.
