10 stars. Excellent place for beef and everything else. They cut me some beautiful porterhouses and new York strips. Super helpful and very pleasant people working there. This will now be my go-to for butcher shop for steaks when I run out of the local 1/4s or 1/2 cows I usually buy.

It was quite busy the day I went, however I was helped very quickly. The filets were absolutely delicious and super tender. I also got a small container of potato salad to see if it tasted like homemade. It did. I will definitely be going back to get some more steaks and I also plan to try the hamburger. Pricing is higher than a grocery store, but worth it.

Go for the steaks, stay for everything else. Meat is top quality. I don't mind paying extra for it, as anymore, meats from regular grocery store are all but inedible. If they don't have it out, they will cut (and in my case stuffed pork chops) stuff it while you wait. Good selection of ready to cook meats and ready to heat prepared meals. Only wish they would put cooking temps and times for some of the ready to cook meats (chicken cordon bleu, stuffed pork chops....) Staff is super friendly and accomodating.

Holy cow!!! I can’t begin to tell you how on the head this butcher shop nails it. Everything from their turkey pepper and onion sausage to their tomato sauce to the prime rib to their pork chops to everything they do is just fabulous. This is truly a top-notch place to shop. They also have vegetables and lots of other pantry staples.

First time shopper. Was explained where everything was grown. All items the are homemade, where items in store were. Helpful, items in vacuumed packaging set for freezer. Great touch there. Will be returning often. Prices are expected for a top notch butcher offering upper echelon meats.

So happy to have Doc's close by. During quarantine we were doing a lot more home cooking and experimenting with recipes. Whenever I went to Doc's and asked for something specific they accommodated with great customer service. Thin cut pork chops- no problem. Bone-in pork shoulder- how many pounds would you like? Great customer service. When I went to a local butcher in Kennett Square they were not so accommodating- and tried to tell me what I really wanted....... This is the place to go!!! We also ordered our Thanksgiving Turkey from them (yes, it was a while ago!) and ordering process was easy, pick-up during COVID was really organized. Highly recommend!!!

Tried Doc’s pulled pork last Friday and it was great, 2 lbs for a family of 4 with a little leftover. Fantastic smoky flavor with some bark, really moist and barbecue sauce had the perfect combo of sweet and hot but not too spicy. Make sure and get some of their coleslaw and mac/cheese with it
