My daughter attended this facility for 3 months, I have waited a few months since we enrolled her at another place before writing this review. If you have a hyper child who has outbursts of emotions and tests boundaries— the director of this location will do whatever she can to label your child and call you after any incident to have child picked up for early dismissal. As parents we started believing that our child might have emotional delay and started getting help from the school district to early intervene. If you ask about their methods of dealing with unwanted behavior, you won’t be able to talk to the teacher— because only director can communicate with parents about any classroom issues. There is no consistency or any age appropriate methods to help guide your child. It’s really scary that this place has such a “good reputation”.Since we enrolled my daughter at another facility— literally zero behavioral issues or complaints by the teachers or the daycare director, she’s learning about her emotions, she’s being guided instead of being labeled. She doesn’t require additional learning support because her teacher is an educator who teaches her to manage her behavior and emotions.I know this place was not a right fit for my family— and that’s ok. However, a childcare facility SHOULDN'T ever be allowed to operate this way. As a parent, I have major trust issues after my experience with Hockessin KinderCare because I really hoped they had my child’s best interest in mind. Instead, they are operating as a business and not an educational institution.

We moved to Delaware when our first child was a toddler. With no family in the area and 2 working parents in the home finding the right child care center was critical for us. We toured few places around the area and Hockessin KinderCare felt right. Childcare decisions are very personal and unique to each family and child and Hockessin KinderCare offered us the trusted and reliable care we needed. Every one at the center has always been welcoming, caring, and nurturing to our 3 boys both emotionally and academically. Our sons have known Hockessin KinderCare as their 'school' and a trusted second home during the week and enjoyed great busy summers there when they were little. We have loved all their teachers and know our children were happy there and well prepared to transition to their 'big boy' school.

My son, now 5 yrs old, has been here since he was an infant. I toured several area daycares when I was pregnant. One made me cry, one was eh but when I walked out of KinderCare Hockessin I knew it was the right spot. We've had nothing but the best experience with every teacher we've encountered. The teachers and directors are now like family. My son is in Kindergarten this year but still does the before and after care at KinderCare because I didn't want anyone else looking after him. Over the last 5 years I have been very pleased and I don't know what I would do without this KinderCare family. Everyone treats my son as if he was their own. The teachers go out of their way to make sure the kids are taken care of. It is a great environment.

Denise and the whole staff at KC genuinely care about your children's' well being. They will also bend over backwards to ensure your accounts are accurate and in order. There have been numerous occasions when I had questions that were promptly and accurately answered/resolved.Miss Kimberly and Miss Kaylin have been awesome caregivers to my kids. They helped with teaching my kids to read and even homework during aftercare. If they were my employees, I would give them immediate salary increases!
