Went in and easily checked in, was seen within 3 minutes. Despite having systems issues the staff did not turn me away. I often have trouble with finding a good vein, but the phlebotomist was great at finding the best vein and was out in less than 10 minutes!

This LabCorp is evading taxes operating in DE without license. Their license is from PA, and they will bill you in PA . Be careful!

Walked in without an appointment because another location didn’t have the glucose test I needed. They had everything I needed and took me right away! The ladies at the front desk were friendly and the nurse did a wonderful job taking my blood- I usually have a hard time with blood work but it was quick/painless and I didn’t feel light headed at all! I will definitely be returning!

Very unhappy with this LabCorp.
Similar issues, rude front desk and I waited for an hour and never had my bloodwork completed! Drove to another location and had a totally different experience. I guess it's worth the extra few minutes to drive to another LabCorp!!

Staff member wouldn’t really give a helpful explanation about an administration related problem. She kept repeating the same question and showed no empathy about my frustration.

I recently visited LabCorp (01/16/2025 - 7:50am) and had an extremely disappointing experience.
Upon arrival, I was spoken to in a condescending manner by the front desk staff because I missed the self-check-in. The white woman at the front desk, who wore glasses, was particularly unprofessional. She was loudly discussing and poking fun at other customers as they left, which was clearly audible from the waiting room.
Throughout my interaction with her, I felt disrespected and demeaned. As a 41-year-old male, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy, but instead, I was talked down to and made to feel like I was less than human. Additionally, she made rude comments about my doctor while I was speaking to her, which was completely inappropriate.
To make matters worse, as I was leaving, she openly mocked my situation and laughed about it with her colleagues. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of empathy is unacceptable in any setting, especially in a healthcare environment.
I hope that LabCorp takes this feedback seriously and addresses the behavior of their staff to ensure that no other patient has to endure such a negative experience.

Had to remind the staff I was there. Response I got ‘if you checked in we know you are here’. Wonder why after I double checked they took me right back. Plus there was trash left from last person.

Absolute insanity!!!
We arrived @ 7:20 am (today…Monday, 9/16) & shortly after arriving we learned that this location had run out of vials! (They just opened @ 6:00 am!)
They sent someone out to get some more & she returned about 25-30 min later. Another girl arrived too but slightly before the original employee w/ more vials.
We’ve been here for over an hour & it’s very slow going! The lobby is packed w/ lots of elderly people & there’s only a handful of seats!
You need more seats along the wall that faces the front desk window & in the hallway to the door leading to the back office!!!! Lots of wasted space which could be accommodating your patients! You have many elderly people so having them stand is also not safe!
People are leaving when they see how backed up it is @ the front desk! Having to wait this long is nuts! People are fasting & need to eat before something horrible happens.
My FIL has terminal cancer & him having to wait this long & in such chaos is uncalled for!
This was a very difficult trip for him.
The main employee @ the desk did not keep her cool & was very rude/short w/ everyone! However, they (meaning the only 2 staff members) also seem very overwhelmed so I’m sure that was contributing to their attitudes & the fact that they were not properly stocked w/ supplies prior to today! The staff on Friday did not set up THIS STAFF for success & it has created a very bad experience for their patients & the staff here!
I mean the other lady that was taking the blood said not a word & I’d like to think there needs to be some sort of bedside manner w/ this job! It was bad enough that we had to wait so long then we have poor attitudes!
NOT GOOD LABCORP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also would like to mention…
The open concept (high ceilings & open office ceiling) created a horrible echo & YES, your patients can hear EVERYTHING the staff is saying!
Complaining & bitching….we DON’T WANT TO HEAR ANY OF THIS!
It creates a very loud atmosphere & feels very frantic & out of control! This type of service can be trying for people especially if they have anxiety about blood work, are very ill or have been fasting!
It needs to be a nice calm & organized atmosphere & today this is NOT what we received!
Is there any way to give a rating of no stars??? 👎🏼
Horrible experience!!!! 👎🏼👎🏼

Got there 2 minutes before they opened. Arrived with the only employee of the establishment. I was the first patient and it took about a half hour to get out.

Went yesterday for a fasting blood draw. I was extremely pleased with the staff. Very friendly and went above and beyond. Clean office. And easy to get an appt. No waiting and no bruising. I had lots and lots of bloodwork done. Sometimes you get a bruise and Sometimes not I didn't feel a thing and no bruise.

I’ve never had a terrible experience at the Hockessin location, contrary to some of the other reviews. The staff may not be the most warm and fuzzy but they are certainly professional and they’re not rude. I have come away with an occasional bruise but that can happen anywhere depending on the status of your veins at the time. I’ve also come away with no bruise. I usually walk in without making an appointment and even so, I’ve never waited too long to be seen. I go in early afternoon even though I do fast. My boyfriend prefers to go there in the morning and he has never had to wait long either. Honestly we all know it’s never a pleasant experience to get blood drawn, but I’ve never found it to be awful at this location either. It’s about the best you can hope for overall.

Donna was amazing. She had an anxious patient on her hands, but is truly skilled at her job.

This is one of the nicest Lab Corps I’ve been to. I went in as a “walked in” this morning 10/11/23 and I was treated very kindly. I was out within 1/2 hour. I will be getting my lab work done at this location from now on. Cissy Pino

Received a terrible bruise from blood test and they did not bill my secondary insurance thus receiving a bill which should be covered. I have been a client for many years at others LabCorp locations, but moved closer to the Hockessin,DE location. Never will return there.
