I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lantana Veterinary and the incredible care we’ve received from Dr. Kosin and the front desk employees. Recently, Jen took over 10 minutes to speak with me on the phone, patiently answering every question and genuinely reassuring me about my senior rescue dog Precious’s dental surgery. I was extremely anxious going into it, but the information, compassion, and calm confidence she provided made all the difference.
What truly stood out was being told that they treat newborn animal surgeries and senior dog surgeries with the exact same level of care and attention. As someone who was terrified for my older rescue, that meant everything to me. Precious did AMAZING, and it was so clear she was handled with love and expertise every step of the way.
The clinic itself radiates warmth — you can feel how much love is in that place. I also really appreciated that the staff is mostly female and incredibly nurturing. My other two dogs absolutely loved coming here too, which says a lot.
Dr. Kosin is truly special. She was so empathetic and thoughtful — she even acknowledged the passing of our dog Buddy without us having to bring it up, which meant so much to us. That level of emotional awareness and compassion is rare in vets we've seen in the area for our previous dogs (which made me switch to Lantana).
Another thing I deeply appreciate is how patient and respectful they are with my parents. As human doctors, both of my parents tend to ask very specific questions about lab values and numbers — and Dr. Kosin never once made them feel like a burden or rushed. Instead, she welcomed the questions and took the time to explain everything thoroughly.
This vet practice is the perfect combination of medical excellence, empathy, patience, and genuine love for animals. I am so grateful to have found Lantana Vet and trust them completely with my dogs. Highly, highly recommend. 🐾💕

Best vet I have ever been too. My cat Bean was treated with the utmost care during the checkup and ALL the staff were so very patient and kind/gentle with me during my cats time of crisis. Im strongly recommending by word of mouth to strangers and all of my friends and family.

I made an appointment last minute because my current vet wasn’t available, and I’m honestly so glad I did. This place was amazing! They treated my dog like she was their own from the second we walked in. I had 3 vets around her, holding her, petting her, and talking to her the whole time, just making sure she felt safe and calm. While waiting for my appointment, I was watching how they interacted with other patients coming in and out, and I was so impressed. The vets were genuinely happy to see the animals — and the animals were actually excited to see the vets!!! You could tell there’s real love and trust there. They were so kind and gentle with my baby, and after that visit I ended up switching to them completely. I’ve never seen a vet team so loving and compassionate before.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Kosin—the best vet on the East Coast. Even though I live in NYC, I travel to Hockessin, DE because of the incredible care she provides. Kind, patient, and deeply knowledgeable, she always puts Barclay first. They are fair and never money-driven. I’m so thankful to have them in our lives. Thank you Erica Capobianco Xxoo

Excellent! Dr. Lon spent a lot of time with my very sick kitty. He answered all my questions, and explained a lot of things of which I was not aware .Maks is a happy cat at 17 yrs.

I had a great experience with Lantana Veterinary Center. I got my Cane Corso ear croppin done. He was well cared for and I felt that staff were knowledgeable.

I brought my turtle to Lantana for a new, weird lump in his throat. The doctor was fabulous--knowledgeable and caring....I highly recommend this vet!

Took my cat to Lantana Vet, and it was a disaster. They charged an arm and a leg for a basic exam and insisted on a slew of expensive, unnecessary tests. Felt like they were just trying to squeeze every dime out of me. The vet was pushy and seemed more like a salesperson more than animal lover. Never going back. Stay away if you value your pet and your money!

This is one of many times I have been here past experiences were Amazing and now with my two new fur babies! The babies were so calm and not stressed the doctor was very intelligent and gave me great information. The nurses were also amazing! Love this place is only place for my fur babies to go!

Dr. Lon Schlussel and his staff are fantastic. We've been with Lantana for over 10 years and 7+ dogs.. So, we have had lots ups and downs. Through it all, everyone has been kind, supportive, and understanding.
We love Dr. Lon. His diagnostic skills are incredible. He gives realistic expectations for treatment & outcomes. He doesn't fool around with unnecessary tests either.
Trust me. You want this guy to be your vet.

Dr. Emslie is amazing. She removed a mass from my 11 year old rabbit and saved his life! She is confident, skilled, and professional. I highly recommend her if your pet rabbit needs veterinary help.
