“The grog just redesigned their wine section. More wine in 750’s and less box and jug wines. A lot of wines that are at good prices for a smaller store. Including my favorite white Bordeaux.”

“Friendly staff and good selection. Prices are better than other stores in the area. People who complain about price are probably out of town. It’s a resort area so they should expect the prices to be similar to other resort areas. Lewes/ Rehoboth are expensive areas, it’s always been that way, and I’ve lived here 31 years. You want cheaper liquor, drive the 30 minutes to Milford or Millsboro. You’ll save 10 bucks on the liquor but spend it on gas.”

Back home in Alabama, we used to have Hop City to sell us good booze, but here in Delaware, it’s slim Pickens.
I’ll never buy a sip of alcohol unless Ed Graven recommends it. I hear that even the great connoisseur Jay Virzi shops there, too, and if it’s good enough for the illustrious Virzi, I’m sold, Joey.
